President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Why won‘t the leaders of Chicago do what it takes to fix this problem? They won’t because they are laundering the money elsewhere where and it takes hard work to identify and fix the problem. Dem political leaders are anemic to hard work. they prefer to obstruct and complain.

So I’ll ask the Dems on the board, what should we do? Let this once great city decay away or step in and help the local governemt fix the problem. I bet I know what the citizens of Chicago want.

This hurts the disenfranchised more than anyone. The Dems claim to be the party that looks after minorities yet their actions do not indicate so.

Just on the 4th of July weekend- “At least 55 people shot, 8 fatally, in 4th of July weekend."

I agreed with the White House examples. I don’t agree with holding people for small issues such as jumping over the Marta turnstile, speeding, jay walking, tearing the tag off a mattress. The guy attacking people on the subway and throwing his feces and urine on them should not have cashless bail, imo. I know that NorthDallas is able to throw his feces and urine on anyone chooses bc he is rich. That still doesn’t change my opinion.

Just curious, why do you hold that opinion?

You sound like someone who has only seen Chicago by news reports. Have you ever spent some time in the windy city?

I have,I was mentally prepared for a war zone, what I found was a very clean and safe city. My Sister in law and wife walked all over the city, day and night, beautiful city. Her husband was born and raised in the section of the city that's the exact opposite. But don't paint the whole city unless you paint Knoxville with the same brush as Beaumont ave.

I don’t care I forgot the n’t because you knew what I meant when I said I could care less even if it’s wrong. So I guess I’m just stupid

AI
"Could care less" is a very common usage in American English, so much so that it's often understood to mean "couldn't care less" despite the logical inconsistency

From ChatGPT:

"Dink, what a dumb ****ing expression. Did you get hit with a baseball bat? Please tell me you're asking on behalf of someone else. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Yikes. I guess the new 5.0 update is less forgiving.

CNN is doing all they can to avoid the root of the issue. The DNC does not represent left voters, and it's more evident than ever with the current situation with Israel. Liberals are overwhelmingly opposed to paying for genocide and the DNC overwhelmingly continues to offer Israel military support. Hell, an amendment to cut just $500m from the missile program lost 422-6 with even AOC voting for the funding.

The DNC does not represent the voters at all, and that is why the party is at an all-time low when the fight against Trump would be a unifying factor under better circumstances.

Waiting for the water carriers to support buying a dinosaur of a company in Intel. Maybe we can buy Sears and Kmart next....

How isn't this essentially a bailout? Intel is struggling mightily to keep up with its peers. Its losing the AI race.

Why not just go through subsidies with the horses that are winning the race?

I go to Chicago a lot. I've only been shot 6 times. It's not *that* bad.

But it isn't. That's the thing. If you burn a rainbow flag in public, it will be considered a hate crime. Guaranteed.

You can **** all over the same country that gives you the right to burn their flag, but God forbid you burn the flag that represents mentally disturbed individuals.

And like you I don't have the time. Nor the inclination to spend my own money and set fire to it to make a political statement

Attacking a flag representing a social group =/= protesting our sh*t government.

I disagree that it should be a hate crime, but don't try to remotely equate the two, especially when you so easily label every single person in the LGBTQ community as mentally disturbed.

It's a deeply emotionally driven opinion for you, obviously. You should take that into consideration.

Been there many times. Talk to people who live and work around the city.

Why aren’t the Dems fixing the problem ?

Mcdaddio already posted information it isn’t the act of burning the flag that is the issue, it’s the context and intent. Is the act meant to oppress/threaten the target audience. Frankly I don’t even like that definition but the screeching over just burning a flag isn’t the issue.

This is why “hate crime” is the most slippery of slopes. I’ve found several examples where people have been charged, but usually is tied to stealing someone else’s property or damaging adjacent property, i.e. fire. Sounds like if you buy a flag, burn it in your fire pit, you’re fine. Do it in front of a gay nightclub, school, etc., then you can have a hate crime charge tacked on. To that point, the same should stand for burning an Israeli flag, American flag, Palestinian flag or any other flag that represents a cross section of people in public around other persons, buildings, etc. I think you’re correct that it’s not applied evenly, although I haven’t looked up instances of people being charged with hate crimes for burning the flags I’ve mentioned.

water carrier here.....Biden Adm GAVE about 11 billion to Intel with part coming from Chips Act passed by Biden. Money goes to Intel from Biden with taxpayer getting nothing in return out of this give away. Trump at least redirected how the money will be used where taxpayer will have some common stock value on the Biden give away. I think the 11 billion represents about a 10% stake in Intel.

let's think...how many billions did Obama and Biden give to "green" or woke companies that soon went bankrupt/out of business enriching leftists owners?

(AI Google):

Obama administration bankruptcies
The most well-known example of a failed green energy company is Solyndra, a solar panel manufacturer that went bankrupt in 2011.
  • Solyndra: A solar panel manufacturer, Solyndra received a $535 million federal loan guarantee and filed for bankruptcy in 2011, putting more than 1,000 people out of work. The government (taxpayers) took a $528 million loss.
  • Abound Solar: This solar panel maker received a $400 million loan guarantee but filed for bankruptcy in 2012. Taxpayers lost between $40 million and $60 million from the roughly $70 million the company had drawn down.
  • Fisker Automotive: This electric car company received a $529 million loan guarantee but only drew down $193 million before filing for bankruptcy in 2013. The government sold the debt for a much smaller amount.
  • A123 Systems: A manufacturer of defective electric car batteries, A123 Systems received $132 million in DOE loan guarantees before going bankrupt in 2013
Biden administration loan issues
Under the Biden administration, the DOE's Loan Programs Office (LPO) has expanded significantly due to the Inflation Reduction Act. While there have been no high-profile bankruptcies on the scale of Solyndra yet, some projects have been cancelled, leading to taxpayer losses.
  • Grain Belt Express: The DOE terminated a conditional commitment for a $4.9 billion loan guarantee for this clean energy transmission line project in July 2025, with officials citing that the necessary conditions were unlikely to be met.
  • Cancelled clean energy grants: In May 2025, the DOE terminated 24 awards totaling $3.7 billion in taxpayer-funded assistance for projects under the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations. A review found that the projects were not economically viabl

Lol, of course Jmac is in support of it.

You aren't drawing any distinctions. The allegation of mortgage fraud is coming from a Trump lackey. No charges have been brought (though one would think given the circumstances, they soon will be, just for political cover for Trump et al).

Point is this:

1) If the allegations are true, she should resign, on her own accord.

2) If she is charged and there is anything to it at all such that it would distract from her duties or undermine the institution, she should resign on her own accord.

But Trump purporting to fire her for cause, based on allegations by a Trump political operative of financial fraud by her, is just too thin. Especially in context of Trump's other efforts to gain control of the Fed. And especially since Trump has actually been found guilty of financial fraud.

Was funny, Howard Lutnick was on CNBC this morning going on and on defending this based on how any person who has committed financial fraud should not be allowed to serve in any capacity in the federal government. No one asked him the obvious question about good for the goose, good for the gander, which was a shame.

Those are all really stupid too and never should have happened. So once again you’re pointing to your boy mimicking behavior which you think is wrong and you view that as some sort of positive flex? 🤡

Yeah, because billions and billions and billions to the Immigrant Detention Industrial Complex is so much better than giving it to people who actually produce **** with economic value.

How about don't do any of this stupid **** and stop comparing yourself to who you think was the worst president of all-time. How about we try comparing Trump to Ronald Reagan, or someone halfway ****ing decent?

Stop settling for the bottom of the barrel. You don't even have someone with an ounce of conservative principles in the WH. To own the libs, you elected a socialist authoritarian.
