Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Usually, love you, yeti the young kids dying while making mistakes does not constitute with the way you’re saying it Tim couch was in the vehicle. They were young southern boys hunting and enjoying beer. Did they make a mistake yes in the honor of those young men I am okay with the beer barrel being banished, sorry my belief’!’
Why does taking away the beer barrel trophy fix it.

Put up a memorial for the guys to be remembered positively.

Tragic deal but the taking away the trophy does nothing but put a negative spin on it and now many people from both fan bases are asking for it back

August 22, 2025: Evaluate your priorities in order to make the most of your time. Refuse to get stuck on worrying about things that you have no control over, and especially do not worry about the days ahead. Your future will unfold one minute at a time and one day at a time. Take it as it comes, and be the best version of yourself you can be, says the Lord. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

for those of you negas thinking 7-5 is really possible, do you expect Heupel’s seat to start getting warm then? Because it would be.

8-4 is the floor. 9-3 is what we’ll be. 10-2 the ceiling.
I’m gonna have to disagree with you on the ceiling.

Ceiling is always

17-0 🤠

A tractor-trailer carrying 40,000 pounds of ribeye steaks caught fire Monday on I-44 in Phelps County, Missouri, forcing a temporary highway closure and resulting in a total loss of the meat. Firefighters put out the blaze, which some locals jokingly called the “best-smelling fire” they’d ever seen.

They can’t do anything right in Missouri.
They had a prime opportunity to claim the world’s largest steak night and they screwed it up.

Imagine if that happened in Tennessee, people would be lined up for their steaks. The firefighters would be the grill masters. 😎

Alabama and UGA have around 10 championships and most of the QB’s that won them were barely above average.
It's a line of scrimmage game, those teams were elite at the LOS. Fact is is that there are many more good running backs than there are good quarterbacks. And a good quarterback covers a multitude of sins. Once again economics explains it, who are the highest paid players in the league? QBs, Offensive Tackles, and Edge Rushers. It is rare that a Running Back is taken in the first round of the draft, why?

There is nothing wrong with trying to lower cholesterol into a more normal range, provided you don't take it too low or do more damage than you correct by doing so. Cholesterol is 'U' shaped. Too low is just as bad as too high, although low hurts different things. The people pushing statins act like lower is always better....false. Lower to a point, sure. Some statins do lower inflammation though, which might be their real benefit. But fixing heart issues only to cause brain issues isn't very helpful.

But seriously, check it. Very few docs seem to emphasize ApoE genotyping, even though we now know it is the #1 genetic risk factor for dementia and other diseases of old age. The study of what it does in the body has greatly expanded the understanding of how to fight it, not just as applied to dementia, but also heart disease. I've seen these genetics wipe out multiple generations of my family, but I am increasingly confident I can avoid that fate.
The goal for statins to to reduce to normal levels.

I have a high family history of early heart issues. If statins prevent that, then I will risk the dementia at an otherwise unreachable older age.

Hell, I have had 6-7 concussions. I have a higher risk of getting dementia from my concussion history than from the statins that have only brought my cholesterol and triglycerides to normal.

The problem that I have with published “medical research “ is that you have to weed through the published article that was produced for prolonging the researchers careers versus published for true scientific merit. Think about the media pushing for clicks and all the BS they do. Well there are similar people in medical articles as well.

Medical research in socialized medicine countries are very skewed towards doing nothing is the best treatment (government cost containment). Whereas research in the for profit healthcare world are often pushed by other agendas. You would be amazed at how much research is funded by insurance companies to mimic socialized medicine of nothing works, big business (pharmaceutical) pushing for their borderline dangerous drugs to be released. It’s a huge racket. 😡

Best I've found. Their D line sucked last year and they lost their 2 best. Should be a great entry level test for our offense.

We are going to destroy Syralose. We would have destroyed them last year when they were a better team. This year we will be better and they will be run of the mill Syracuse. My prediction is .... PAIN.

You may be blaming the doctors for an insurance issue. Does your insurance plan cover ApoE genotyping?

10-15 years ago a swab of the cheek sent for genetic testing could tell us white narcotic analgesic would work best for you, which one could give you issues and which ones were unlikely to work. Could obtain the same data for anti-depressants.

Imagine the benefits of that simple test. Insurances quit paying for it after about 6 months. I still offer it to patients, but I have not had a single patient who paid out of pocket due to the cost.

I read a lot of your posts and physicians are vilified frequently. Maybe you pick really bad doctors or maybe you are vilifying the wrong group. I have battled insurance companies for over 30 years now. I’m about over it. Especially when the patient yells at me and my staff for the issues caused by their own damn insurance. Did I advise your boss or you on which insurance policy to pick? No! Did I pick your medicare advantage plan for you? No!
Let the buyer beware.

End rant 😡

Man, there are only 4 uncommitted prospects left in the 247 top 250. One of those committing today and another crystal balled to LSU. That's a crazy stat. I also do not see how Florida is close to us in the rankings. We have 5 prospects in the top 70 before you get to their highest rated recruit (Bronough). Admittedly, this is not using the composite. We have tremendous talent at the top of our recruiting class. Don't think for a second that having 10 lower or unrated 3 stars changes that. We have one of the top 10 classes in the country along with guys we can develop for 3-4 years.
