I have more of a problem with the 1910 1914 1958, ancient claimed titles than the 2004 one.

They lost a whole dern game in 1910 and came in second behind undefeated Vandy in the SIAA.

1914 they had a tie and were second to the unbeaten untied Vols.

1958 they had a dern tie, whilst LSU was number 1 undefeated untied.

Those are worse than 04 to me.
