More importantly, most of these are cities run by Democrats. What have they done to fix the problem? What do they propose? What are your proposals?

At least the Republicans are trying and I would bet the citizens of these cities would be grateful for anyone trying to fix this. I cannot imagine living in the center of some of these cities.

Meanwhile the Dems are protesting.

Yeah, and I'm saying that if you think NYC's crime rate is about to quintuple then you are missing more than a few brain cells. 4.7 per 100K being "dangerous" certainly is a 98/2 issue and not in the direction you apparently think

Baltimore has cut its homicide rate significantly. "Trying to solve the problem" would be working in red states with much higher crime rates, not just trying to punish every political opponent

Lol why do we need to "give it time" for you to tell me how deploying soldiers to these cities will lower homicide rates?

If 'high homicide rates' and the justification for deploying the national guard, then the expectation for how that deployment is expected to lower the high homicide rate, should already be known.

Explain how going soft on bail, going soft on crime, open borders , defunding police, and protesting Republican efforts have helped? It has not.

Specifically to D.C., how will this reduce homicide. Who is in charge of investigations? How exactly does the NG conduct proper investigations into the crimes?

You don't really know, do you? You're on board with it for no other reason than it sounds good to you because dumb Donald ordered it.

Do you think it's appropriate for ICE to pick up people at immigration court?

What's truly "insane" about his response, is that he's responded to my question with a liste of these things that he believes have caused a high homicide rate, and his answer, it not to remedy those situations that he disagrees with, but to instead activate the national guard, and assumedly he believes that their mere presence will somehow lower the homicide rates.

That was the Chicago PD if I remember correctly. I don't recall there being rioters for them to attack, just VN war protesters.

DC is probably better than Baltimore, Chicago, Memphis (pains me), New Orleans and Detroit. All of these cities are controlled by one party who, by nature of their protesting in DC, seem to be OK with their crime rates. If NY goes the direction it appears, stay tuned, we will have a new leader in the club house.

Dems are the only ones “eating this up”. We are trying to fix it.
