I've heard several legit things from Ainge, Swain and Kyler.

Like when Milton came...Ainge was like, "yep, he's our starter, it's obvious" and he was. I remember him talking about how good Pili was back in 2023. How he was the team leader and how good of a player he was.

They all (media/former players) often say the same things and all of them have been wrong and right about multiple things.
It is asinine to think intel like a former QB brings from watching them PLAY FOOTBALL, is doubted more than what Austin Price "Heard". It's not like he just said "oh Joey looked better" He talked about specific things like, his demeanor, poise, footwork, accuracy, ability to anticipate, not turning the hall over. Whereas the other two were more inconsistent. Like not processing as fast as Joey and looking as comfortable. Up and down freshman type play. That's what he saw and he feels there's no doubt Joey ends up starting. I value Volquest, but if a former player is specific about stuff like that, I have a hard time leaning towards what the media has HEARD, when the coaches don't even want them to know or see certain things.

Fake news! I have it on not-so-good authority that UT QB's can't show the ability to anticipate.

Why are individuals discussing (arguing) over who's going to be starting QB? CJH will decide , I don't care what AP says, Ainge or Swain says. It's like individuals want one QB to succeed and the other to fail..

I can tell you right now after helping coach at MTCS (my high school alma mater as well), Jesse is a bit of a project. Honestly don’t see him making the 2-deep until maybe senior year. He is a bit slow and his footwork needs a lot of work. He also is just a super nice kid and he doesn’t really have that crazy tenacity that really good lineman have when on the field or in camp

Wow, I heard this too.
I also heard Basilio yesterday on his show say just the opposite at least about the QBs. He said everything he is hearing is that none of the three looks good at all. He said the coaching staff secretly knows we must rely on a strong running game and defense much like 2024.
Here’s hoping Ainge is right and Basilio is wrong.

Basilio is always a negative Nancy, it’s his gimmick. And I actually enjoy him, but he’s like the drunk uncle at Thanksgiving who comes and tells you about all the new conspiracy theories. You laugh, you smile, but deep down the more he talks, the more you just want to drink.
