Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

We better spank Syracuse. I just bet an albino skunk and 2 red-cheeked salamanders that we win by 10+. A get a large Andean Condor if I win. . .

Have you seen the size of those condors? There's a pic online of a dude riding one. It's head looks twice the size of the man's. It's calves look like Khalil McKenzie's. . .
There's like 0 chance a video of a guy "riding" an Andean condor is anything other than AI

Yeah, and even if NCAA passes their rule change it's not gonna be possible to implement this season.

Sucks he wasted a Spring practice on scholarship when staff could have used the spot for another portal add though.
Hell we have like 6 schollys leftover. A little whiff there by Heup.

Uga has it. The only one to ever go against them was in Atlanta with the ajc and I believe he was pressured into a retraction and let go. That was when uga had kids getting away with rape and murder without it having any real ramifications.
Rape and murder? Come on dude lol

I mean isn’t that what happened?

They had some dude that sexually assaulted or raped a girl and half the team showed up to the courtroom, which you could characterize as bold support or pressuring the victim depending on how you want to look at it. It didn’t get much coverage which is why I don’t remember the specifics. It was early in the Kirby era. This was the one where the ajc writer wrote about it and then uga threatened to sue and the guy lost his job or whatever. Whereas our “reporters” and podcasters covering our programs can recklessly speculate on air and in writing with absolutely no ramifications.

And then there’s the uga post natty celebration, directing the recruiting staffers to get drunk with and drive the players around and their first round dt that that left the scene of his drunken drag racing where his teammate ended up wrapped around a pole or something. And I think he got off with a court ordered reckless driving course?

Sheeit I’m gonna get more flack from you fellow vol fans for my recollection of things that actually happened elsewhere than these writers/radio guys get for their speculation of things that may or may not have happened here. It’s BS.

How could you not trust this dude.....View attachment 758335#respekMydesshisin
The picture is one thing. Trusting a dude with his rap sheet shows the worst decision-making since Blockbuster told Netflix to kick rocks because nobody wanted to stream media content online.

Do we think there is any chance this guy has found himself as his agent due to "connections" related to the earlier rumors? Looking at his past transgressions it is not a difficult leap to assume he is involved in a "family" business.

The executive branch executes laws made by congress. He doesn't have the authority here, not so subtly suggested by some of the NCAA and conference leaders.
OK. That's interesting. I guess nobody is complying with all of his and other past POTUS executive orders. Good to know those unnamed folks have the authority..

Just an FWIW - unless an EO is overturned or otherwise temporarily stopped by the judicial branch they are in full force until the next EO comes along to change it, or, Congress passes a bill to codify it and the POTUS signs it. This one appears to have been in the works for awhile, which means it has already been stamped by the administration's legal staff.

but did you read the EO? It literally orders nothing.

Executive orders are intended to implement laws, not create them. The fact that they are getting away with it (or simply ignoring court orders they don't agree with) doesn't make it constitutional. But I'm a lowly engineer, not a lawyer or politician, so I may very well be wrong. With that said, there were CFB leaders suggesting that the EO really didn't have any teeth, nor should it.

Why? Heupel calls the plays anyway.
Exactly. Seth has had play calling responsibilities at a high level though in the past. He was really hobbled at OU with the injuries and youth he had there. They had five WRs miss significant time; I think opening game they were down to their third or fourth string wr. A lot of youth at QB as well. And a rebuilt Oline. And he might be absolutely terrible but I’m not ready to make that call based off last year at OU.
