So, as it has gotten near football season....I wandered over to the FF. I was looking for the latest buzz prior to the season. Oh, boy. Scrolling through there made me REALLY thankful for the baseball forum. The folks over ther are eating their (our) own. Times have changed, I suppose. Ain't the same since I first joined (2011ish). Or maybe the baseball forum has spoiled me. We're actually pretty good to one another over on this side of the Volnation island. For that, I'm thankful.

The two best analogies for that forum are:

1. It’s like swimming in shark infested waters.

2. It’s like being with a crazy woman you know you have no intentions of marrying but it’s too fun to completely turn away. It’s always best to bring protection and pull out just in case said protection had holes poked in it.

Everyone wants to be the smartest person in room, belittling everyone, and general disrespect for others. It’s very tiring.

It bothers me as a fan. 1st game in person was wake forest in 85...sat in BB. times have changed....but so have I....used to scrap all Saturdays just to watch the Vols....now I just record the scrub games and make it a point to watch us against the likes of bama, florida, Georgia, etc.

I used to have a VCR & taped every Vols game & re-watch & study the plays run.

I’ve kind of gotten to that point. I will watch the SEC games and the interesting non-con games (if there are any). But I’m not going to sit there and watch a beat down whenever I can make my Saturday productive.
