'Woke' WNBA star slammed for praising 'socialist' Zohran Mamdani and Threatening Violence Against ICE And Donald Trump

WNBA player Natasha Cloud has been criticized for supporting Zohran Mamdani and seemingly threatening violence against ICE agents and Donald Trump by telling them: 'New Yorkers really don't f*** around.'

Cloud, a guard for the New York Liberty, threw her support behind Mamdani before his victory in New York City’s Democratic primary last month.

She called Trump 'Donny' and suggested there could be severe consequences if ICE agents were to descend on New York.

She then continued: 'If Donny wants to come down here, if ICE wants to try and come down here, that's fine.

'But [they're] going to learn the hard way… New Yorkers really don't f*** around. They don't play about one another. The don't play about this city.

'It's the WNBA against Donald Trump all over again. It's the WNBA vs common sense all over again. It would be fascinating to watch ICE march in there and then she would cry. Just shut up. That Mamdani guy is richer than hell. His parents made more money than God.'

I wish I had the money to start a Bananas style semi pro women’s basketball league. They would be fan friendly and apolitical. The WNBA is a bad product on several different levels.

Or give the states time to get set up to do without FEMA and congress to properly disband it.

Do you think it may take time to transition?

Let's be honest. The whole "Get rid of FEMA" thing was a dig based on the claim that FEMA was systematically limiting help to Trump supporters. It was born of revenge and out of spite (as is about 90 percent of Trump's entire agenda).

But of all the things we all ought to agree on as one country is that when disaster strikes, collective resources are brought to bear, regardless of who is governor of the affected state.

Depends on the disaster as to whether we all should agree on that. Regardless, FEMA along with many more federal agencies need to be thrown into the dustbin.

Trump's petty and vindictive nature has put Thom Tillis's seat up for grabs in North Carolina. I really hope that Lara Trump ends up becoming the Republican Party nominee for that seat ..... That's a huge pick up for Dems, if it happens.

Tillis would have probably retained the seat. That's a self-inflicted wound, created by Trump's ego.

FEMA should be akin to a catastrophic insurance policy. I don't know exactly where that number should be but every state should be prepared for the aftermath of a disaster (for sake of argument) lets say to the tune of a couple billion dollars. A disaster surpassing that would allow for deployment of FEMA and other federal resources.

My thinking is that if individual states were on the hook for the majority of these events they would stop allowing the development of flood/hurricane prone areas, Gulf states would stop allowing seaside homes or other developments that cannot self insure or find private insurance. Yes we also need to do away with the federal flood insurance program. I'm all for a landowner being able to do what they want to do with their property but if you choose to build alongside a river my tax dollars shouldn't be there to bail you out when the flood comes.

Trump should definitely test the limits of his authoritarian regime and send troops there because a WNBA player said "NYers don't f*** around."

I have no problem with any of that.

.... but you think a semi-pro women's league would be a good product, by just being apolitical?

We’ve been hearing this for 6 months. It hasn’t happened yet. I’m not convinced it’ll get passed on to consumers in many instances. The capitalistic principle of supply and demand still holds. For example if Walmart raises their prices, I’ll shop at Target and Meijer instead
You live in a fairy take land if you believe consumers will not absorb rising cost., created by tariffs, droughts, scarcity or supply demand. According to your belief gas should still be $.50/ gallon.

I just bought some strawberries and noticed the price had dropped significantly.

Tariffs ASSUME the consumer is gong to continue to purchase the imported (tariffed) product. What if the consumer changes and purchases a product that is higher quality and has the same or less price (American made)? Who pays for the tariffs then?
Way to completely go right by the point. Consumers are going to pay higher prices be it from tariffed imports or locally produced higher priced goods. And your quality claim is completely unsupported. Go take a look at every smart phone, tv, laptop, tablet, and desktop computer in your home and get back with me on where they are produced.

Trump’s international trade policy this term is a self inflicted train wreck.

And to add to that, what if Apple is forced to move their factories from China to a different country altogether that doesn't have the tariff burden? I think that's the point of all this to begin with. Get American companies out of China.
Then Trump should focus his tariff infused ADHD riddled brain on products sourced in China and not tariff the whole damn world.

Let me ask you some questions :

What impact do you think tariffs have on the supply chain?

.... and if the supply of a product decreases, while demand remains constant, will the price of that product increase or decrease?

When are they going to discuss the biggest problem with the Texas flood? It was not the forecasting but the communication issues. One guy that owned a RV park realized what the forecast meant and drove (I think) 45 miles to warn the people in his RV park to get to high ground. I do not believe a single life in his RV park was lost. So yes there was time to save the majority of those people if only the communication process had been in place. In a military unit there is always someone awake monitoring the immediate area. I would think that should be the case in large gatherings, especially in potential high risk areas. I absolutely cannot believe the direction some low lifes and scum are taking with this. It seems that some people have no moral fiber at all.

Oddly after reading this post I saw this in my inbox from our very own UTK.

We will see if tariffs impact the supply chain and if there are other alternatives to the consumer. If it's a cheap t shirt or sweatshirt imported from China, there very well might be a comparable one main in Viet Nam. If that's the case then there will be pressure on the item from China to be competitively priced. If it's a part for a Japanese car that has to come from Japan then yeah, the supply chain could cause a problem. It's too soon to say if any of this will lead to inflation
