I moved by accounts ..... Since I was furloughed, instead of fired for cause, I had been assured by human resources that I would still be allowed to keep my "free checking account status" provided to employees .... but it was just a month later they dinged me with a $9 monthly fee. Unreal.

They (NWS/NOAA) weren't wrong during Helene. They were calling for extensive mountain flooding for days. They could have done a better job communicating the high end risk potential. FEMA, on the other hand, absolutely was caught flat footed in the mountains....

i don’t live in the mountains of North Carolina. It affected us an hour to two hours away quite extensively. They weren’t calling for near the impact that it had on those areas.

There is no difference in the two parties, when comes to playing politics with natural disasters. Regardless of who is doing it, it's in bad taste, and disrespectful of people who have experienced hardship.

If you can't see that for yourself, then you should take stock in your own sense of self-awareness, instead of being so laser-focused on the alleged derangement of others. It was not a ridiculous conspiracy theory that Project Veritas would tamper with evidence in order to support their allegations against Democrats. They have in fact, been exposed for doing that very thing. The couple who found the diary, also had significant cause for tampering with the contents of the diary, if it didn't include anything of a salacious nature. I still believe that if that diary had not included anything damaging to Joe Biden at the time it was found .... then it definitely would by the time it was sold. The couple made it clear from the outset, when they peddled the diary at a Republican Party fundraiser that they saw the diary as an opportunity to make money.

If this was how the federal government intended to handle staffing cuts at the National Weather Service, then they would not have imposed a federal hiring freeze, which included the NWS, but then had to be lifted to refill 126 positions.
