New York City

Lol. Yea, “we’re going to forcefully seize your property and give you what we think it’s worth”.
The Japanese don't have eminent domain. Take a look at Narita airport sometime. At the end of one of the runways is a family farm that the family refused to sell. It has prevented the lengthening of that runway which they really need. The farm though looks like a prison. They built a 20 foot (looks like) concrete wall around the farm and have flood lights on at all hours. But at least they couldn't take it. I wonder how much money would have been made off of it had it been seized. It's very similar to the NIL argument for college athletes if you think about it. You get a pittance for your property, and the .gov makes a fortune.

So they were made cheaper.
They were also made cheaper by the government building infrastructure.
Soooooooo the government created regulations that resulted in high prices for transportation. Then the very same government comes along and removes those regulation and you credit them for making it cheaper.

That's logical. Somewhere. DC maybe.

No, that's not what I said. Building the infrastructure is the cost reduction driver.

Let's compare the high speed rail in California with Brightline in Florida.

We don't know if private industry could have built airports cheaper, I am willing to bet they could have, but the .gov has a monopoly on that. We all know how well their bidding system works. Projects are bid, and when the 'low bidder' can't finish the job for what they contracted, the .gov comes up with more money. So you are half right... I guess. Oh and then there is that SpacEx thing.

Market value at the time of the sale.
They pay way less than it's worth. Because they have the threat of condemnation and expulsion if the owner doesn't take the offer. Take any highway they went to eminent domain to get. How much has the .gov made in highway/gas taxes over the years. They get that property for a pittance.

Republicans want to help the poor become rich. Democrats want to make the rich poor.
We are not the same
Sure Republicans want to help enrich the poor. That's why they deny education, medical care, food aid and demand they burden the tax relief given to the wealthy. You sir are a carnival barker.

If your property would sell today to a private buyer for a $million, how much would the government have to pay you next week to build a heliport there?

Bark bark. Everything you just said is wrong. You don’t help people by just giving them stuff. That only creates a cycle of dependence and poverty. You give them jobs and self respect.
