Thank you. I am interested in the truth.

Trump Splits with one of his Closest Advisers as nasty MAGA civil war erupts over Iran

The escalating conflict between Israel and Iran has dramatically fractured the political forces that united to elect President Donald Trump in 2024.

Rival factions of the MAGA movement are now openly feuding in an increasingly nasty civil war, and questioning whether the president will make what they regard as the right move in the Middle East.

Trump himself stunningly split with one of his own close advisers on Tuesday, dismissing Congressional testimony from Director of National Security Tulsi Gabbard.

In March, Gabbard stated that the intelligence community had assessed Iran was not building a nuclear weapon.

Her comments reemerged in recent days amid warnings that Iran may be on the verge of succeeding in its quest.

'I don't care what she said, I think they were very close to having one,' Trump said flatly when asked about Gabbard's statement.

When Gabbard was asked for a reaction to the president's comments, she maintained: 'What President Trump is saying is the same thing I said in my annual threat assessment in March to Congress.'

Yall get that’s not what tulsi said about the Iran nuke program, right?

Everyone keeps repeating that lie.

She reported that agencies had reported that Iran wasn’t trying to build weapons and then immediately reported that their stockpiles are not consistent with that report.

It's all us vs them.

For a good part of the late 20th century, the "us" was in the liberalization of society (hair on men, women's dress, etc, etc) and the "them" were those seen as uptight about accepting trivial differences in dress, etc. The left managed to spin that into politics as a "moral issue" of individual rights successfully.

The right spun it back with the use of scripture, largely, to combat morally distasteful trends and appeal deeply to the, no disrespect meant, "God isn't pleased with this" primal views of most Americans. It has worked very well.

If it gets "too rigid" to many Americans again and we'll see the pendulum swing back to the left and toward "individual rights" which are less spiritually bound.

The key in politics is to catch the wave of sentiment. Clinton did it well. Trump is the best I've ever seen.
Clinton was able to rise above the impeachment attacks and still work across the isle to get things done. I don’t think anyone can do that in this current political environment

Heh. Dude, come on. You cited Orange as the source of saying Gabbard didn't or didn't say something, not the article.

Read what Grok said. It's spot on.

Tulsi Gabbard testified that Iran was not actively seeking nuclear bombs. This was parallel to what all the intelligence agencies were telling her.

Please don't buy into the big Trump lie. He taints all.

I’m no Trump fan, but he was screwed with the leftist crowd on this board no matter what he did. He backs down and doesn’t bomb Iran’s nuke sites he’s a blowhard that doesn’t follow through on his word, he does bomb the sites and he’s a warmonger just itching for a fight. I mean get over it libs, do we really need to play the videos of Bush, Obama and Biden telling the world that Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons no matter what? Love him or hate him, it matters not, he’s the only one of the last 4 Presidents to do what they said needed to be done. It’s a bitch for the left I know, get a hanky and wipe your nose and move on to the next bitchfest for crying out loud.

It is hard to really match Biblical Values with Politics right now. Jesus was very vocal about staying out of politics with the really only call out being to follow the laws of the land. Christianity is very focused on how you, as a person, manage your own moral standards.
40k denominations says that there isn’t a unified focus in the definition of Christianity

A clip of her talking about Iran's program circulated here last week after showing up on all the socials. It was misleading because it cut off her video prematurely in a way to edit what she said. The full statement was different in context compared to the edited one.
I hate that the media does that all the time. You can't believe anything anymore.

@Orangeslice13
Your integrity is in question.

What's the resource for tulsi statement and if it taken out of context?

That's a funny looking bridge you just built. It doesn't make it absurd to blame America for what happened since we and the UK kicked off the series of events that led to it.

American’s didn’t install a theocrat. Iranians did because they didn’t like secular path they were one.

It’s absurd to blame America for Iranians abandoning secularism 24 years later, yes.

At some point Iranians need to accept that they have agency.

She said that was reported by…..then less that 20 seconds later said that they had stockpiled material that far exceeded their supposed need. She absolutely did not say that she agreed with the report.
