Please post the quote where Iran says they will drop a nuke unprovoked?

Screaming Death to America isn't they're gonna use a nuke against us knowing mutually assured destruction is coming. And if you think they’re that irrational why didn't they attack us before unprovoked with conventional weapons? Cause if they're willing to die by nuclear holocaust what difference does it make by dying through conventional warfare?

This is what I mean by yall being blinded by irrational hate and bigotry. The idea that Iran is just gonna use a nuke unprovoked is not rooted in logic or reason but is purely based on fear of the other.

Let's be frank here. We have decades of "our fault". But the "why" doesn't change the "what". Iran wants us dead. They want the entire western culture gone. We can't take the chance of them having nuclear bombs.

Might want to edit that lead in sentence. The US was embroiled in a multiyear war with Japan and casualties were already thru the roof. Many feel if Truman had not used the nukes he had available to more quickly end the war he should have been tried for treason. While the war would have ended it would have taken invasion of the Japan mainland to force capitulation. And that would have come with high casualties on both sides.

Is the US the only country to have used nukes against a foe? Yes. But we absolutely were provoked. And justified.

Iran isn't Arab by the way. And if you think we aren't the cause, then what started this beef with Iran? What happened before us and the British installed the Shah that made Iran worthy of regime change? What did they do to us that was so bad we had to topple their secular democratically elected government to install a dictator?

Right. They’re just the only country on earth with 60% enriched uranium and no nuclear weapons program. They’ve almost doubled the amount of 60% enriched uranium they have in only 2-3 months and they’re building additional sites.

Can you explain those actions?

That makes no sense.

If someone repeatedly claimed that they were going to kill everyone in their town, while repeatedly hiring someone to try to kill everyone in their town, you'd need to wait for a gun reference before you thought, "Maybe letting him have a gun isn't the best idea."

And for the record, as mentioned by someone else, I don't think it's a danger of Iran creating a ballistic missile and launching. It's probably more of a danger that they will use it via proxy terrorism in an asymmetric war.

Hell, I do believe that even the Saudis and about 1/2 the Middle East came out and said, "Thank you! Those MFers are crazy and can't have nukes. If you allow them to, you allow a ME nuclear arms race like you never imagined."

You can't pretend like Iran is an irrational actor by ignoring all our actions that have created this mess. We're the ones that cast the first blow when along with the UK we toppled their democratically elected secular government to install a dictator to do our bidding because British Petroleum wanted access to their oil. After decades of oppression by the American backed government of the Shah the Iranian people turned to Islamic fundamentalism. So whether you like it or not we caused this mess. I'm not saying we the American people endorsed our nation's actions in starting this mess with Iran. The Iranian people are not evil. Neither is their government. They have simply been acting in self-defense. We need to get our government to stop starting fights then blaming those that try to defend themselves.

Yes, that happened...... We toppled the regime, and the benefactors of our actions targeted us.

My point is not some ringing endorsement of past American foreign policy. But none of that matters. If you have the means to stop your potential murderer from loading the shotgun they would use to kill you or others then you take it.

Sometimes the choices you have to choose from are less than ideal, I think that's what this was, I just happen to think it was likely the best of a bunch of bad to terrible choices.


None of that changes my point above regarding the worlds and regions interests in keeping Iran's ambitions for a nuclear weapon unrealized. Their neighbors don't even trust them.

This is why I say the right is blinded by bigotry. Do you think this is a Christian thing to do? Instead of correcting a wrong let's ignore it and instead kill the people we've wronged cause we can't risk them wanting revenge?

We dropped bombs no one else could. That's the extent of it to this point. If more is done you may have a point about fighting anothers war. As it stands now you've got your panties in a wad about something every president in the last 30+ years has done........ Were those choices lamented in a similar manner?
