It's been a few years since I've been, but if you go to Bristol Motor Speedway in Lights (around Christmas), you can go down the drag strip. It was interesting to see minivans staging. You also get to go out on the track.

Lowe's/Charlotte/whatever it's called also has their own Speedway in Lights where you can drive out on the track and the infield course.
 
Back in the 1970s, Jackson Drag Race Way was always packed during weekends.
For an extra couple of $$ you could get a pass to the pits & walk around watch them
working on their cars & was able to talk w/the drivers before races.

Idk if any of you watched the original “How To Train Your Dragon” movie but we went and watched the live remake and I have to say that’s probably the best live action remake I’ve seen yet. They kept the same director from the first one and you can tell. They really stayed true to the original and it was great. Disney needs to take notes.
