Radley Balko is my guy. Didn't get his contract renewed at the WaPo because he went too hard after a sacred cow.

IDK enough about journalists to just rattle off a list, but I can promise you that by the law of large numbers, there are at least several who do good work.

Yup, and when the IRS unfreezes it they aren’t giving me money. Saying the US gave Iran 100 billion dollars is intellectually dishonest, especially when majority of that wasn’t even tied up in US banks

Not exactly what I said, but overall yes I would prefer to listen to an independent journalist over any network affiliated one. Of course he wants money. It's a job. That's not really a gotcha moment there.

But thanks for the rec I'll check out Mr. Balko.

The question was legitimate seeing as everything is so polluted now with divisive narratives.

In his defense, I’ve not listened to the conversation. I only saw the meme Nash shared. But overall I'm not a fan. He’s too isolationist on foreign policy, and too socialist on everything else (UBI, wanting legislation against technology, pro minimum wage, etc)

Fair enough no hard feelings here. Ted goes on some bizarre rant talking about how he fights everyday since he's taken office for Israel and some other nonsense about Christians being morally required to protect Israel. Which is anti biblical hogwash imo.

Sometimes groups of so called Christians kill people of other religions. You'd have to twist either religion pretty hard to get 'kill your neighbor' from their messages. I wouldn't call such people from any creed a religious group.

Ok. Then let’s just agree that they should have never been allowed access to that money. Plus the Embassy hostages and their survivors should have gotten a big chunk of it.

Ya I definitely don’t disagree with that. Like I said I really don’t have an opinion on the original deal. Making deals with governments that are oppressive and anti American doesn’t seem right. But if this war is over uranium levels like stated in this thread and we get involved, backing out of it in 2018 doesn’t look good
