This is an excellent example of one side of the political spectrum taking misconduct by one person, among many doing the right thing, and improperly trying to ascribe that misconduct to a broad range of the whole.

You think care to prevent problems is non-sense? Annual check-ups, pre-natal care, etc.?

The value and cost prevention through early detection was a proven concept long before the ACA.

Yes and that was mainly through the expansion of Medicaid. But that doesn't discount the fact that the ACA has caused rates to skyrocket and the original intent was for it to be a windfall for the insurance companies before it failed.

In some populations (40+ or pregnant), sure. Does your 12 year old need an annual visit? Probably not.

Yes, even before ACA, insurance companies were offering lower premium packages for preventative care and wellness check type policies
