Israel's land mass is small and population condensed.

Iran is a very large country with lots topographic diversity. Those mobile launchers are going to be tough to find. The missile strikes are becoming more effective for Iran.

Seems like things might have quited down for the night.

"China and Iran signed an unprecedented 25-year “comprehensive strategic partnership” agreement in 2021, covering a host of economic and military sectors. It notably included business in the oil industry and resulted in a $400-billion commitment by China to invest in the Iranian economy.

China is believed to be one of Iran’s top oil customers and a key partner in avoiding international sanctions on the regime aimed at curtailing its illicit nuclear activities. In May, the U.S. Treasury Department announced a series of sanctions on Chinese and Iranian companies in response to ongoing sanctions violations.

“Today’s action underscores our continued focus on intensifying pressure on every aspect of Iran’s oil trade, which the regime uses to fund its dangerous and destabilizing activities,” Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said at the time. “The United States will continue targeting this primary source of revenue, so long as the regime continues its support for terrorism and proliferation of deadly weapons.”

The outcome is certainly that, but I wouldn't say we somehow are behind it. There is certainly some idea in the pentagon that some future war would involve Iran lining up on the side of China and now Russia, and that's what you want to plan for. Iran is a big country with a lot of resources and educated people, but I don't think Iran is really a direct threat (to add lots of nukes and whatever) to influence geopolitics. I think Israel is reasonably assumed to be the target.

I would take the opposite view that Israel uses us and everybody else to make Iran an isolated axis-of-evil pariah state, living under a bunch of economic sanctions forever.

You know, we've been talking about Iran enriching Uranium now for about 40 years. It's amazing just how slow it has all been.

I don't think you guys truly understand the history of Israel and their mindset. They truly believe Iran or any of those Arab countries would wipe them off the earth if the could.

nobody has to make Iran a pariah state, they make themselves.

Make no mistake that some of the Arab states.....particularly Saudi Arabia....are very thankful for the actions of the Israelis right now.

Unfortunately, convinced by the radicals that he was the problem and all of their suffering would be over if given the chance. Similar to a message that’s been promised by a few politicians here.

Yep. I have watched a video of an EMP weapon mounted on a Humvee type vehicle fry all the electronics in a truck from about 1000 yards away. The truck was immediately inoperable. It took massive amounts of electricity, just like LASERs do, and may be hard or impossible to install on an aircraft though
