President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

The right-wing reactivity comes after years of overheated rhetoric, disinformation, and demonization directed toward the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020, some of which did including rioting, vandalism, and persistent civil unrest. In the ensuing years, the BLM protests became shorthand on the right for left-wing and Antifa violence and morphed into a rationale and excuse for the Jan. 6 attack. Now we have this pig in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

I love the Florida Sheriffs. Good job!

President Donald Trump Names Advisory Board Members to the Religious Liberty Commission

Allow me to translate.

The commission is tasked with preparing a report on the history and current state of religious liberty in America.
By contrast, Trump’s three immediate predecessors maintained an Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships to advise on how faith-based organizations and the government could collaborate on issues like human trafficking, climate change, or global poverty.

The MAGA religious right has taken this strategy to a new level. And this new movement is far more complex. If we believe that these ideological architects are simply “conservative Christians” or even “Christian nationalists” in the old vein, we are fundamentally misreading both the religious character of the MAGA movement and its broader ideological and practical aims.

There is almost one million immigration farm workers in the U.S. a lot of 1,000+ cow dairy farms are entirely staffed with immigrants. There're a little over 300,000 guest worker visas available every year. Do the math.

Picking lettuce in California, oranges in Florida, milking cows in Utah, crab meat in Maryland we need more guest workers than are currently authorized. Fix that first.
OK, let’s start by sending all Illegal immagrants out and letting those who want to come in do it the right way. There, problem solved.

The costs are high monetarily (thanks Biden) but we lose far less Americans doing it this ( getting the criminal/thugs/fentanyl out) way.

Congress the Judiciary and the Federal Reserve are bigger threats to the constitution than illegal aliens and the LA riots.

I don’t disagree but we don’t have to ignore one to fix the others. Those will take extreme measures as well.

There is no right way for the #s needed

They bypassed the process tho. That's been a deal-breaker for Trump and his acolytes. This is a complete and total pivot.

In fact, I've heard arguments from Trump people to get rid of legals if they initially came in illegally.

Face it, the laws are totally ****ed and we have a madman picking and choosing winners all over the economy through tariffs and immigration policy, etc. Top-down centralized control with banana republic rules, and you're telling me that this passes the smell test because Trump will make them legal? That's precisely my point.
Who's the madman? Biden isn't it office. Trump knows way more about the economy than you every will.

So are you for letting LA be destroyed and tax payers to be hit for the repair?

Newsome was doing nothing…..he wanted the confrontation.

Most Californians that I have seen interviewed want the violence to stop yet the left was OK with letting it go. The Presidents first obligation is the safety and security of all it‘s people.
That is not the point at all. The Marines did not have to be deployed. The National Guard would have been sufficient. Trump had no business deploying Marines, unless he was prepared to invoke the Insurrection Act, which he knew wasn't warranted over this. This was a political stunt.

So the ones cutting up lettuce for salad at the local buffet needs to start picking lettuce? The guys roofing a house need to start picking peaches?
I would start with all immigrants that have any kind of criminal past, all immigrants that have previous deportation orders, and all immigrants that are receiving benefits from tax payers.

President Trump told CNN's Dana Bash that Iran's negotiators he was dealing with are all dead.

It was previously reported that Iran & the U.S. were set to hold another round of negotiations on Sunday.

Trump: "The people I was dealing with are dead, the hardliners."

Bash: "So what you're saying is Israel has now killed the people who you were dealing with?"

Trump: "They didn't die of the flu, they didn't die of COVID."

Of course I want him to make the right decision. Clearly I'm not opposing immigrants.
Great.
The point is the sloppiness and chaos of policy and to illustrate some things are more important than strict enforcement of the law.

And Republicans have been against amnesty and exceptions for rule-breakers for 30 years because "it's the law." You can pretend like this isn't an about-face to legally let "invaders" back in, but it fkn is. They have no idea what they're doing. We traded chaos at the border for chaos within our borders
Process, politics, and people. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. We will be long dead before it does. Complaining is cathartic though.

Unnecessary is violent protest. If you don’t like the end result, address the actions that led to it.
If you don’t want Californians to violate local and state laws, don’t break federal laws, Donnie.

Dumb Donnie only (and quite intentionally) spilled fuel on the fire here.

How about a crippled translator for the US Army from Afghanistan and his diabetic wife with cancer? No public assistance?
