The ends doesn't justify the means. Marines should not be deployed for purposes of domestic crowd control and/or protecting domestic police officers on duty and federal buildings on American soil. This has set a terrible precedent, which will lead to more problems than it will ever solve.

Senator Padilla will never make it as an edge rusher. Reminds me of a couple of my teammates, many moons ago, having to restrain me from opening a can of whoop a** on an opponent who was twice my size. Despite my most strenuous efforts, I couldn't escape my teammates' grasp.

Ok. The point was Trump is making exceptions to the law* because of economic need, and you're telling me he's not justifying illegal immigration?

I'd really like someone to give me a response that isn't weird, because I've been told the law matters more than the points I'm making and Trump is now saying a point I'm making is more important than the law. Quite the conundrum.

Wrong. The deployment of 700 Marines is completely on the poor judgment and horrible leadership of a wannabe authoritarian ruler named Donald Trump. The National Guard would have been sufficient,. It is not the stated mission of the United States Marine corps to assist domestic police departments in crowd control and the protection of buildings on American soil. It was unnecessary and an abuse of power. Trump would not have done this in a blue state. It was completely political and done for public spectacle. Marines are not political pawns.

You don't fix stupid laws by breaking laws in this country. We have a process of legislation.
I'll try to assist and provide clarity.
Illegal immigrants have bypassed process. The one's in question are willing to go through process for temp work visas. They've met the requirements to be granted that pathway of legal immigration. Therefore they move from illegal to legal status. The law does matter.
You can drive legally and illegally. One is punishable. One isn't. You can also go through process to become a legal driver.

Seems crystal clear to me.

This is easy enough

1. Scarcity is a real thing. We only have so many resources. It makes more sense to focus on decreasing further illegal immigration and deporting criminals or those with suspected gang involvement than it does random farm hands.

2. Politicians often allow popular opinion to change their policies. Trump is 100% someone who does this often. It’s not a bad thing that a president would shift away from unpopular policies
