Neither their training or their stated mission involves domestic affairs concerning crowd control, protecting the police or protecting federal buildings on American soil during a riot. Trump's deployment of them was purely for show. The National Guard would have been more than sufficient.

It doesn't move the needle much for me. feel that democrats allowing illegal immigration to get to this level is the causee.Fixing it is not going to be easy and will look like a mess at times. I don't like utilizing the National Guard/Marines but I also don't like that Newsom pretends that nothing is going on and wont handle his state.
