This rumor came out Thursday when the O’Connor news started leaking and I wondered if it would affect Wake’s pitching. Something seemed to affect them the first 2 games then Dallas found it this afternoon and they’ve run with that momentum.

Uhhh, first of all it’s Fischer, not Fisher. Secondly, Fischer pumps his arms each time he homers. I was at the game and the crowd was going berserk when it cleared the batter’s eye above the wall. You obviously were not there. I could go on and on about your post, but suffice it to say your gripes are in your own mind.

It was a twilight sky scenario. Unfortunately, it happens on occasion. There is no fault with the fielder on the play, therefore no error is charged.

It is a young team...need to try not to brand them as something they are not and build their confidence vs shoot it down.

I can see your position, but at this point in the season, it's pretty clear what kind of team they have. They have been thru the SEC wars and shouldn't be surprised by anything they see. Yes, players can get better, but that doesn't happen overnight. This year's edition is who and what they are for this moment in the season. Again, I don't see them as a failure. Actually, it's surprising to me they reached this point. I said previously that for this squad to make the supers would be amazing and Vitelli should get consideration for coach of the year. I think UT fans seem to see the orange jersey and that makes these guys the best thing since sliced bread. Some grow into it while others don't. Time will tell, but time is a luxury this year's bunch doesn't have. I suspect we've got another 18 hours or so to enjoy this roster.

Yes he did. There are two different types of TJ surgery to repair the UCL - reconstruction and repair.

And he has thrown very well. Errors behind him have been a problem his last two outings. Plus a bs walk to start things off last night by the ump.

He had the repair. I had full reconstruction, so yes I know it is different. But doesn’t really matter at this point.

Fun fact: Cincinnati beat Wake Forest by 5 runs Friday, then lost to them by 7 2 days later. It’s almost like a team can lose to a team, then defeat that team in a subsequent matchup!

Pitching is going to be really interesting today. We've got to keep them off balance but we don't need to be walking too many batters . I'm guessing Tegan starts and see how far he can go then it will be situational who comes in to get the outs . There may be some surprise who will get some pitching only for a batter or 2.
