Great thoughts! Agreed. Hoping as with every game we advance, the focus gets sharper and sharper, as losing focus costs runs. That ends up in lost games sooner or later. So - let's get some more baseball chaos going today except for our Vols. We need to drill whoever we play tonight. The rest of the SEC can lose, lose, lose.
Not concerned with Arky, our pitching situation is looking better. Proud of Anderson's work with Phillips mid-season. He is getting closer to getting a slide step worked out from the stretch, being quicker to the plate, and has focused on not being predictable. Paid off big time yesterday. Also, Anderson has shown willingness to call pitches backwards and getting them to pitch lower in the zone for the most part. Starting to see some good results from all of that.
Add in the bats heating up and better D - we could get on a roll.
Lost a little D focus at the end of the game last night - that needs to be and probably was addressed by the coaches. That has been a major problem all season - focus and players being willing to adapt at the plate. Hitters have to be WILLING to keep the hands in with level swings, go the other way and not pull every pitch. We have some talented guys that cannot seem to get that through their thick skulls at times and I know for a fact the coaches are working with them on it.

That has probably been the one that is causing the coaches the most heartburn. I know it does us.Great thoughts! Agreed. Hoping as with every game we advance, the focus gets sharper and sharper, as losing focus costs runs. That ends up in lost games sooner or later.
Good news from the vet today. There are no ulcers on his eyes. His inner eyelid on his right eye is still inflamed and close to shut.
He's improved immensely, in a week he gained 4 oz. His energy level is what you'd expect from a kitten.
He's still congested so the vet has given us another antibiotic to try. No worries about pneumonia with his weight gain, energy level and no fever.
Vet said there's still some concern about his eyes but she feels he'll at least have 50% vision at worst once the scarring on his eyes begun to heal. Said he may have as much as 90% but he'll certainly have some limit to eyesight.
Said he wouldn't have made it a few more days with his level of dehydration. He was found just in time.
His eyes look horrible but the are night and day from what they were when we found him.
He's currently on 5 different meds but getting better all the time. Vet said we can begin to introduce him to our other animals. View attachment 745600
I had a manager of Pakistani descent once and he explained to me that certain names in India and Pakistan are fiercely aligned with certain business types and kids are pressured to continue those legacies. A lot of Patel's are business owners and entrepreneurs. Especially the hospitality industry. Why is ever tobacco store Owner's last name Patel?..
