The more we talk with pass-rushers, especially some in the 2026 class, the more James Pearce's development and draft stock are a big selling point that is working in Tennessee's favor.
The Vols are off to a nice start with guys like Tristian Givens and Cam Brooks from the Peach State. Both are planning to see Tennessee again during the fall. We also expect standout North Carolina EDGE Rodney Dunham to be back in town for the Florida game.

Two of Tennessee's top EDGE targets return to town this weekend in the 2026 class in Tristian Givens and Rodney Dunham. Both are definitely interested in the Vols early on, but this weekend will mark their first game-day experience in Knoxville. They will have a chance to learn more about the program and experience the fan base, something they have both been excited about for some time.

We need some big strong ends that can run. We have some fast ones that need to get bigger, my only problem with pierce is he was on the light side. He is going to have to add some weight. I hope our players are commiting to getting bigger and stronger, and I hope our S@C coach is putting in the time and effort. Championships are won in the offseason and we no doubt have to get stronger and tougher. Mentally and physically to totally turn the corner. GBO

Tristian Givens is expected back in town this weekend, and the Vols will look to re-establish some momentum here as Texas A&M has made a strong push since earlier in the spring. The staff was on the road to see Givens during the NCAA contact period, and they are high on his skill set. Coach Chop has continued to do a nice job of recruiting the four-star pass-rusher.

Do we value Givens or the Auburn commit more? We already have two edge commits, are we expecting one to outgrow the position or just shooting for an embarrassment of riches while riding the Pearce and Young draft picks?

If they staff values both then you take both, can never have too many pass rushers.

Cj allen committed without visiting and wasn’t hear for our big recruiting weekend last weekend. I’d be surprised if he ended up in the class.
