Most major league managers pull their pitchers when they lead the game and their pitcher, who has pitched twice the number of pitches he has ever pitched in the league, began to lose it. You do it for two reason, win the ball game, and not injure the pitchers arm. You want to be able to use that pitcher again in a couple of days, especially with the "stuff" Arvidson had last night, in the next 2/3 days. He was tired. His pitches were in the dirt , high, and at a slower speed. CTV even mention that he probably left him in too long.

You are allowed to criticize, but you look silly, especially considering we are the reigning World champs and still won that game.

The way we’ve been struggling on game 3s every weekend for over a month, it really is going to make those first two games all that more important when regionals begin. We don’t have the luxury of an experienced Zander Sechrist on the mound.

Sechrist was hot at the end of last season.

Sechrist was hot at the end of last season.

I know Loy gives you a lefty out of the pen, but he’s started previously. I wonder if we look at starting him in a game 3.
