That was a lot of words to say “moron”![]()

Well, if you want to play the semantics game....
You did not ask for posts showing "condemnation of Trumps attempt to interfere in Apple's business"! In response to Trump's tweet, you asked for posters "denouncing Trump's attempt to use the weight of the executive office to interfere in the operations of a private business." You were given two examples of posts criticizing tariffs within a thread devoted to the subject, and now you decide that is not specific enough of a denouncement?
See how unfruitful that was?
Seriously dude, for someone who is articulate and demonstrates a fair measure of intelligence, the way you are intransigently stubborn in making dumbass posts like this one floors me. You could make salient points as part of a cogent argument that is constructed to be persuasive, but instead you just try to just out-keyboard people rather than engage in meaningful discussion.
Carry on, BV, carry on.
I watched the Letterman video and the product that was being discussed was not Trumps personal product. it was a licensing agreement to allow his name to be used in association with the product being sold. In fact, Donald Trump has owned very little merchandise. He sells the Trump brand.I don't know ... but that is one thing out of many. The reality is, Donald Trump's businesses were outsourcing to China for 30 years ... and they STILL are with Trump merchandise.
Trump is hypocritical on a grand scale. Did you watch the David Letterman interview video? Probably not.
Donald Trump's current stance on outsourcing, is still hypocritical nevertheless.I watched the Letterman video and the product that was being discussed was not Trumps personal product. it was a licensing agreement to allow his name to be used in association with the product being sold. Nice use of selective rage. I’m old enough to remember when the left said things like he’s “not running for office”. That clip (2008) is well before he ran for office, now you’re upset he’s correcting the issue.Donald Trump's current stance on outsourcing, is still hypocritical nevertheless. Trump's licensing agreement constituted a business relationship with products that were being manufactured overseas. Trump was profiting from an agreement, which involved products that were being manufactured in China. You are splitting hairs over the business arrangement in order to defend this hypocrisy, and it is a very weak and pathetic defense.
You are also totally missing the point of why I posted that video with David Letterman. Donald Trump openly defended the practice of outsourcing with Letterman, when he said, "So we employ people in Bangladesh .... "
Again .... Your defense of Trump's hypocrisy is downright pathetic.
Nice use of a what-about-ism.Nice use of selective rage. I’m old enough to remember when the left said things like he’s “not running for office”. That clip is over a decade old well before he ran for office, now you’re upset he’s correcting the issue.
Maybe get a clip that’s not from 2008 in your whining. Regroup in your search to find edited clips of what Trump said. Trump wasn’t in office in 2008, if you’re wanting to stick to the topic of this thread is "President Donald Trump - JD Vance Administration."Nice use of a what-about-ism.
The topic of this thread is "President Donald Trump - JD Vance Administration."
I'm pointing out that Trump profited from a licensing agreement, with a business that was manufacturing products overseas. Trump went on David Letterman's show in the 90's and defended this practice, because he stood to gain from it. His current attacks against Apple are the height of hypocrisy. You can't mount a defense of Trump's hypocrisy, so you're play what-about-ism.
You are every bit as pathetic as @volbeast33 was, for splitting hairs over the nature of Trump's business association with a company that was outsourcing to Bangladesh and China. The next time you make a valid point on this forum, will be the first time.
You think that makes it better? It just shows how far back Trump's hypocrisy goes. Trump's current threats against Apple, and why they are incredibly hypocritical, are highly relevant to the topic of the Trump Administration, and to a discussion of the Trump Administration.Maybe get a clip that’s not from 2008 in your whining. I do for the topic thread, since you want to be technical on what’s posted. Your rules not mine. So save your selective rage. Obama should have addressed it the way Trump is with Apple. You think that makes it better? It just shows how far back Trump's hypocrisy goes. If Donald Trump is genuinely opposed to outsourcing, then he should not have entered into a licensing agreement with a company who was outsourcing the manufacturing of their products to Bangladesh and China. Trump should also not have gone on David Letterman's show and defended the practice of outsourcing with a comment such as, "Well, that's good. So, we employ people in Bangladesh."I do for the topic thread, since you want to be technical on what’s posted. Your rules not mine. So save your selective rage. .... and no, he shouldn't have.Obama should have addressed it the way Trump is with Apple.
Sorry, 2008. You’re zig zagging a business owner to POTUS. If we are discussing self-awareness. Stay on topic, this thread only discusses “President Donald Trump - J.D Vance Administration”. Or are you picking and choosing again? If Donald Trump is genuinely opposed to outsourcing, then he should not have entered into a licensing agreement with a company who was outsourcing the manufacturing of their products to Bangladesh and China. You want an example of "selective outrage?"
Selective outrage is Donald Trump's current stance against Apple's outsourcing. Obviously, Donald Trump saw no problem with it, when he was associated with the practice of outsourcing, through a licensing agreement. This is another example of how Trump has no capacity for self-awareness. Trump constantly expresses anger over activity that he has been affiliated with himself. Donald Trump is hypocritical to a colossal extent.
I found the entire interview. Trump didn't know where they were made bc he just allowed another company to use his name. He agreed that they should be America. He talked about how our deals with other countries meant that the majority of our products were being made in China. The worse part of the interview that Trump said that he supported Mitt RomneyIf Donald Trump is genuinely opposed to outsourcing, then he should not have entered into a licensing agreement with a company who was outsourcing the manufacturing of their products to Bangladesh and China. That is an outright lie, because after Letterman pointed out that some of those products had been manufactured in Bangladesh, Trump's immediate reply was :I found the entire interview. Trump didn't know where they were made bc he just allowed another company to use his name. He agreed that they should be America. He talked about how our deals with other countries meant that the majority of our products were being made in China. The worse part of the interview that Trump said that he supported Mitt Romneyand that he felt Romney could fix the situation with China.
When Trunp made his Maga hats, they were produced in California and distributed then through a Louisiana company. I don't see the hypocrisy. There is plenty to complain about Trump but he has always wanted America to be leading the way.
So mark you down as picking and choosing. Since we are discussing pathetic. The one who cries when the thread topic is diverted from, diverts the thread topic with an old video clip. Reverse UNO card played. You know BB86 is broken in a topic when he/she goes “LOL. Insert insult”LOL. You are pathetic.
I'm calling a hypocrite with no sense of self-awareness ... a hypocrite with no sense of self-awareness.
Donald Trump's public comments from 2008 are fair game.
That's an expected result of pushing for American companies to move production back onshore though. That means meddling in private enterprise, which the government does massively already. Trump's an ass for calling out Cook by name but that's his nature..... and no, he shouldn't have.
The President of the United States has no business making demands of where a company can and can't manufacture their products. It is executive overreach, and a step towards authoritarianism. Donald Trump is abusing the power of his office. Not that you would be intelligent enough to comprehend that.
"Well, that's good. We employ people in Bangladesh. They have to work too."So mark you down as picking and choosing. Since we are discussing pathetic. 2008"Well, that's good. We employ people in Bangladesh. They have to work too."
- Donald Trump's reply to being informed by David Letterman that some of the products being manufactured by a company that he had entered into a licensing agreement with, were outsourcing to Bangladesh.
^^^^ That really does say it all. ^^^^
Donald Trump is a hypocrite with no sense of self-awareness, for his threats against Apple.
The President of the United States has business making demands of where a company can and can't manufacture their products .... and you are dead wrong. A more competent negotiator than Donald Trump obviously is, wouldn't start with threats. He would incentivize. At heart, though ... Donald Trump is a bully, who will start with threats. Such a measure is a step towards authoritarianism. That's an expected result of pushing for American companies to move production back onshore though.
