I don't doubt Curley's talent or skill, I do doubt his psyche at this point

Good post. And it’s kind of where I’m at too. Dean should sit imo but I’m not sure who you replace him with as Ariel hasn’t been very good either

I would be less concerned if this was just a “bad stretch” of play as you describe it, but this has been a protracted issue all year long in SEC play. It’s not like his errors and defense have been happening in a small sample size of games this year, it’s been a regular occurrence.

I doubt that Tony is going to make any change this late in the year, but it almost feels written in stone that Curley’s struggles are going to cost us in June. I certainly hope I am wrong though and he flips a switch and is error free the rest of the year.

Antigua all day. He makes more insane defensive plays and doesn’t make as many errors as Dean. His bat isn’t as good but it’s not like Dean is killing it there either lately.

I get the managing culture and all that argument. But this ain’t just a tough “stretch” anymore. I take that as a handful of games. This is a tough couple months nearly for Dean. I think it’d be damaging to the culture to keep playing him at this point.

Yep. Most of us that are throwing in the towel now defended him for weeks leading up to this point.
