I think there's a difference between successful and savant. The myth that the right wants to put out there about his business acumen really isnt supported by facts. There is some level of success for sure. The colossal failure the left wants to point out isnt fully supported by facts.

Easy to become a billionaire when you start off with several hundred million. It just is.

His real estate results are actually quite middling.

He is incredible at branding. This is by far his best business trait.Truth Social and the Apprentice are the best examples of this.

If you look at the totality, he is a subpar to middling real estate guy and an expert marketer....

Not sure why you gave me multiple quotes from people not named McConnell. The one line you gave was from a tweet. In that one singular line, he doesn’t give much detail on his “why”. If you go to the speeches where he does give his why, he mentions the divided government and how Democrats would not support a Republican nominee under such circumstances. Not that he has some fundamental view that you should just never do such a thing.

That’s not a thing he ever said.

If you invest in a company that’s public, you see the debt. It’s public. That’s not screwing anyone.

Yes, the ability to show large losses from things like depreciation are a major reason why people invest in real estate. That’s not a negative.

Completely disagree. The idea that it’s easy to continue to grow an already large and successful company is not accurate. It’s far more likely you fail than succeed.

For one thing, I have consistently referred to not just McConnell, but to "Senate Republicans."

But yes, McConnell absolutely did say that a Supreme Court vacancy during an election year, should be filled by the President who wins that election. He made that clear in his quote when he said that the American people should have a voice in who selects the next Supreme Court Justice.

So, on top of being stubborn, ignorant, and having too much pride to admit when you are wrong .... your reading comprehension skills are on the level of the average 3rd grader. Or am I giving you too much credit? Probably so.
