McDowell seems like a nice player, however very unproven at this level. Are we sure he’s better than Gainey?

Yeah, I don’t know how 27 PPG at the Division II level will translate. I’m concerned that he scored 2.9 PPG on only 8 games played at Jacksonville State his sophomore year before transferring down. I wouldn’t consider him a definitive starter or 3rd best player imo.

All 3 of the guys being mentioned are 6’5. (Claude, McDowell, and Luka)

I just watched the film. Not overly impressed with his game. Very slow release on the jump shot. Doesn’t jump out as a great athlete or ball handler.

Yes I know the juco stats are amazing but the film shows a role player imo.

Yup, which leads me to believe he wasn’t referencing this players height at all.

I think the average person will be at around 6.5 is what he was getting at. Some people will love it and some people won’t. The only player that fits this category is the McDowell kid.

I think if it were Claude or Luka that 6.5 would be more like an 8+

Not arrogant just confident. I could be wrong but I was spot in on literally all my evaluations in last years portal class to the disagreement of most on here.

That third best might have been his floor call to fend off the attackers a bit. Who wants to defend a ceiling assumption.
