He is not there this year

He’s batting .350 this year with 10 home runs and 60 RBI’s which leads the team. All career highs. Plus he’s a boss in the outfield. This team has some shortcomings but Hunter is not one of them.

The logic applies to 18 year olds too. One uses extremes to highlight the logic of a matter.

Looking at things realistically, we enter the season with an unproven OL and unproven WRs. We'll also have a QB who just started learning the system and only has summer camp to actually get out there and execute. Running backs could be good but have huge shoes to fill. And TEs probably rely on how hurt Kitselman is. It is very fair to say our offense is one huge question mark. It could be great. Or it could be bad. I certainly can understand why we would be picked at 8-4.

And I think a lot of how our defense does will depend on how well McCoy recovers and LB play. LBs need to take a step forward this season like secondary did last season. Definitely think we'll have to lean heavy on our defense.

But we lost 2 nfl DL, so I'm not optimistic our DL will be as good (though it will be good). Just too many drop offs at too many positions to say well be as good as last year. Especially when everyone on our schedule will be as good or better than last year (except maybe arky).

These are the two textbook examples. Trent Dilfer was horrendous, but even he couldn't prevent the Ravens from winning the Super Bowl.

Great defenses covered up a lot of Dilfer and Johnson's mistakes...those two QB's weren't asked to do much..

They were only asked to not give the game away.

The first game of season vs Syracuse should be a example of how season goes. If we struggle and win, it's growing pains but if we struggle and lose it could be a long ass season.

On the other hand blowing the doors off Syracuse will be a promising sight to a good season...

I feel cautiously optimistic. The 2 positions I am most concerned about are wr and qb. I have no doubt we should be able to run the ball, pass protection maybe shakey, defense should be solid tho

Talking heads keep saying 8-4 is Tennessee's win total this year. I just don't see us losing to 4 of these teams even with a shaky QB. Seriously, what 4 teams beat us this year?

We got Georgia, Bama, and the toss ups are Florida, Oklahoma, Kentucky. But I don't see us dropping to OK and Kentucky. Florida and Bama are away games so they may be more difficult.

I’m optimistic but 8-4 is probably realistic. We are not better than last year and we had bama and uf at home. And lost to arky.

If we go 9-3 or better like I hope, who do you think our 3 losses would be to?

I just don’t get it. It’s like people have never followed college football before. You lose good players every year. The concept is to replace them with better players and it looks like we have been doing that.
