Recruiting Football Talk VIII

As a non Braves fan I have to say the Braves might literally be the best organization in baseball at paying and keeping their young talent. Especially for a mid market team. They figured it out right after Fried and Freeman went into arb. The only miss they really had was Contreras. Extensions and mega discounts for Harris, Acuna, Riley, Albies, Olson, Strider, Murphy (slight miss), and an extremely friendly Sale deal.

The Braves are definitely a large market organization. It's not 1980 anymore.

We need a Drew Gilbert personality on the team. No swagger and no one that really wants to hit in the big moments of the game. Even in the midweek games we only score in a couple innings.
That is why this team us just "good" and not "historically great"..

This team has talent but no one with the attitude we have grown accustomed to...3 years ago, and last years team had 5-6 guys like that...which is why we beat the absolute piss outta EVERYBODY those years.

We also had a bunch of guys on the mound with that attitude...which is why teams didn't score much on us either.
