Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Nobody wants to win more than they do. They're the ones with skin in the game. Sometimes when you get in a funk and you have the mindset that anything that can go wrong will, it's a self fulfilling prophecy.

They are in their own heads, they are talented. Their record tells us as much. But they don't know how to handle it. They run every series opener it seems, but they can't handle the success.

Tony had been struggling as well, this team needs a break. To get away from baseball for a while, to bond. Let them regroup and get it together. They have all the potential, just need to realize it.
by them, I meant the best SEC programs that have a chance to win the national title

As I’ve become more into baseball I gotta admit some things drive me insane about the sport. Like wtf is a “balk” lmao quit making up so much BS, it’s not needed lmao

And umpires have to be the softest people on the planet. Get rid of the umps having any ability to throw anyone out for the most absurd reasons. You keep making bad calls…you deserve to get an earful about how you suck at your job. Period.

I’m actually glad we took it serious last year and won it too. Confernce titles should still mean something. The regular season title will always be more meaningful imo but everyone should bring their A game to the tourney too. You can win it and still win the natty. Why not both

Vehicles are only money pits if you choose a crappy one or don’t take care of it. And depending on what you use the vehicle dor makes a huge difference. Say you spend 65k on a truck but you run a business that requires it. That truck makes you money.

It’s not as just black and white as you want to believe.
I have a small business and use a truck to haul trailers. I don’t understand how buying a new $65K truck makes more money than buying a good used truck. I’ve always found it better tax wise to deduct mileage on the vehicles for my situation. I generate the same money regardless of the price of the truck that gets me to the job site. If I spend more on the work truck then wouldn’t there be less profit leftover for me? What am I missing here?

They’re the best that doesn’t have a natty. And currently the ones you named and Texas I’d agree. But I’ll put Ole Miss, Miss State, South Carolina still over them overall until they get that natty. They’re a natty away from being a shoe in top 5 program in the conference.

Honestly, I’ll always down them until they do actually win it all. Out of all fanbases between all sports, Arkansas baseball fans are the biggest douches by a land slide lmao. That’s saying something when LSU fans are right there too, but LSU fans have the hardware to back it up. Worse than Kentucky basketball. Worse than UGA football. Just the worst. lol Arkansas is just the definition of choke until it’s not

Texas doesn’t count yet 😁

I suspected, but didnt know that this was a deduction.

Only logic here would be nicer truck to impress/attract higher end clients. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know it most likely will not be released for theatres until 2026 but The Madden Movie starring Nicolas Cage should be top notch...

Three very quality gifs.

Nic Cage is to acting as Ben Affleck is to most everything else.

I did research once. Did you know that in last decade Nic Cage has been in over 30 movies that Ive never heard of?

I’m not a CPA so someone may correct me on this. There’s 2 options on business deductions for a vehicle. $0.62 per mile or whatever the IRS has determined it to be for the year or treat it like an excavator or another type of equipment and write off the actual cost. Probably not a clear “best” choice for every situation.

Normally agree but we need a hard reset. Win first game to get top 16 then shut it down. Reset. Rest. Get to Omaha.

We “gig” flounder but they are hard to clean. We typically pan fry with a score or crosshatch on both sides. Add some apricot glaze and it is great.
I find them to be one of the easiest and most pleasing fish to clean.

Cut right down the middle (hotdog way) then cut away the north and south side fillets. Flip the fish over and do it again. You end up with 4 fillets and a totally clean carcass.

I was gonna say...

I struggled with Pompano. Need a chinese fish market to clean those. Let the pros do the cleaning.
