Sorry, I was at the kind of event where checking scores or our board, much less sneak posting, would have been disrespectful. I see the score and stats.
What I don’t know is whether Doyle’s finger blister is healed. I see that they hit him, but his finger getting better is more important. Did he look like it bothered him?
Thank you. They are good, no doubt. It looks like 2 unearned runs were the difference. I’m sure it was more complex than that. Hope we can win tomorrow.Nah he just fell behind some early and they were sitting fastball. He got better as he went.
ARK has the best offense in the SEC this year
It is pretty much inevitable that the team would fall back this year...we just lost WAY too much offensive production and pitching to have a great team this year. He's on the plank as I type this!
We aren't one of the best teams in college baseball history this year

I love when the loudest thunder on earth comes through on Saturday morning at 3am and you can't go back to sleep.
Hope nobody's stuff got wrecked. Pretty good storm.
Jeez. Maybe call the power company. I guess they'd know what to do. I probably wouldn't mess with it. Maybe at least they can cut the power or something. . . a boom truck would probably help.View attachment 742651
Yeah a little after 2 this morning, the storm front pushed through. Ive been up since then trying to figure out what to do with this. Thats my carport. In the middle of my road. Sitting on top of the utility lines.![]()

What part of the state do you live in?
Like that carport, by the way. You ever thought about closing in the sides? May not be a good idea for a few reasons. . .
. . .a buddy has a carport about half that size. The top comes down just far enough on the sides to split your skull if you're not careful. He's always talking about closing the sides. . . but half the time when we're working on something in there, we walk through the sides.
That's wild. Like dorothy looking out the window and seeing the witch fly by,East TN. On the tip top of one of the tallest ridges in Union County facing north toward Ky. We catch the brunt of it every time. Its weird though because every time we have a little wind, my garbage cans get blown over. Went out to survey this damage and the cans havent moved an inch but my carport has relocated to the middle of the county road.
I tried calling KUB. Its all automated. Finally did get put through to the main office. Its closed. But I dont think its on the power lines. We all still have power. I think its on the fiber cables. They arent broken because we still have internet service too.
I think after my home owners pays on this one, the next one will be stick built with 6x6 posts concreted in. This one had 6 3 ft anchors driven into the ground and has been there for probably 5 or 6 years now and has never offered to move. Wind caught it just right this time I guess. The wife happened to pull the curtain back just in time and saw it flying through the sky.
WELL PUT, McGILL!!!It is pretty much inevitable that the team would fall back this year...we just lost WAY too much offensive production and pitching to have a great team this year.
I have to say though, the first few weeks of the season had me hoping I was wrong, and I thought maybe Tony had somehow put another elite team together...but alas...Baseball showed it's cruel hand and brought it crashing back to earth..
I do however believe this team is actually better than they have shown the last month...we are a good team either way, but I think we could ge a really good team if the guys would just out of their heads.
This program as a whole has forgotten what it is like to struggle..to slump at the plate, on the mound and in the field...and all those things have weirdly happened to a lot of the team, and so it becomes a cascade failure....I've seen tons of good teams go in month long funks, but I've seen them flip a switch and right themselves literally overnight too.
It wouldn't surprise me for us to get knocked out the first week...but it really wouldn't surprise me for them to have one of those crazy couple of games where things just start clicking again for multiple players, and suddenly turns it around and go deep in the postseason either.
Tony will put more great teams on the field...I just don't know if he could ever put a historically great team like we've had in 2 of the previous 3 years out there again.
We have a ton of baseball newbs that don't understand how special those teams really were....just absolutely brutal lineups and staffs.
They are called "Historically Great" for a reason...they don't come around that often.
After I moved away for I few years, I rememeber the first meal my mom cooked for me when I came home. I thought the salt was going to choke me. I never realized how much salt she put on our food until I didn’t have it for a few years.I was just saying the flavor preference is impacted by what we already eat. Maybe if we ate less sugar, we wouldn’t like ketchup as much as we do. I eat everything, don’t confuse me for a health nut, but my parents didn’t use a lot of added salt or sugar growing up, and so I’ve just never really had an appetite for ketchup. Love a good tomato or spaghetti sauce though.
Lol “technology” has ruined us. Most people can’t go to the grocery store anymore without their gpsNothing like coming home from dinner and the grocery store, getting out to get the groceries, and hear a hissing sound coming from my wife's car tire. (She's got a fairly new Audi with several screens/computers and I've got a 20 yr old truck.) Sure enough, a shiny piece of metal buried in the tread. I mark the sidewall with chalk and tell her to roll up so I can get enough room to get the metal out and plug the tire. She gets in to move it, rolls the window down, and says to me (OUT LOUD) "it's not telling me there's a flat tire. Are you sure there's something in it?".![]()
Yep.Lol “technology” has ruined us. Most people can’t go to the grocery store anymore without their gps
Run flats. Virtually all of our BMWs have been the same. Not so sure that's about space as much as the reality of a typical (modern) person trying to change the tire on the side of the road.Yep.
The real kicker..... her car was around $70000 and didn't come with a spare tire. They got 12 computers shoved in there but no room for a spare tire.
*I can't stand that car.... it's high dollar euro trash. In 35 years I've bought 3 trucks, 2 cars, 2 motorcycles, and 2 ATVs for myself that might total $70k.
$70K on a car is too much. Depreciates in value, and will break. Far often earlier than later. Ive always wanted an old 4X4, unfortunately they hold their value.Yep.
