All threats of violence against the President are looked into by the Secret Service. The issue here is whether or not what James Comey posted constituted a violent threat. When used as a verb, the number "86" does not have to involve an act of violence.

In an episode of Cheers from 1987, Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley) tells Woody Boyd (Woody Harrelson) to "86" the ferns. She was telling him to throw away the plant decorations. I'm not sure I've ever heard it used as a threat of violence against a person. It's a silly thing to get your panties in a twist over.

No, we weren't told that the 2003 Iraq invasion was due to the war on terror. We were told that the objective of the Iraq invasion was to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction.

The publicly stated mission of the 2003 Iraq invasion had nothing to do with any acts of terrorism against the United States, or against American allies or interests. In George W. Bush's own words, the objective behind the invasion was to "disarm Saddam Hussein of weapons of mass destruction."

We have the largest economy in the world and don’t come close to having the largest population, so shouldn’t we set the standard? You’d think so, but we don’t. Statistically, much of the old Soviet block does better. That shocked me
