“But I got to stop wishin', got to go fishin' Down to rock bottom again Just a few friends, just a few friends” (pictures)

Tiffany's nurse is having a baby shower tomorrow for her daughter, and her husband. She asked me to bring Tiffany, so I'm gonna drop her off, and go try to find a spot on lake Alatoona. Gonna rain, but I packed my rain suit.

In Cumming for an mri, then on to the baby shower, then maybe find a fishing spot. Already raining

It’s not like squall lines on the ocean, where you can see exactly what they are, and they pass over in a few minutes.

This is the worst spring surf fishing season I've seen in a while. I haven't had a report of a single person finding clean water anywhere north of Canaveral in the past 4 weeks. The wind has just not been in our favor. I'm about ready to spend a weekend driving down past Canaveral to see what I can find further south at this point because this week is gonna be muddy water once again up here.

Sometimes I'm pretty jealous of those on the gulf coast lol

Have you ever been to Sebastian inlet park? I'm really wanting to try that area next time I'm down that way. I guess the fishing algorithm 😆, but I started seeing posts on Facebook, and there's good posts every day.

Not any time recently. Maybe when I was a kid. But yeah, that's about as far as I'm thinking about going. I'm desperate!

My dad told me yesterday this has been the worst fishing season (fished less) for him in 10 years just because of the wind. Only had his boat out once in 12 days.

Edit: He's on Sanibel.

I seent a national news story on how bad the sargassum's sposed to be this year, more widespread than ever and worse than usual on the Gulf Coast

@MercyPercy
What are the thoughts/etiquette on the piers down your way when it comes to using braid?

Truthfully I'm not much of a pier fisherman. I've done it plenty of times but I'm not "one of the regulars" so to say, so any etiquette i know is just general fishing etiquette lol. I know and have seen folks get fired up trying to land a big fish and getting tangled up with 20 other people cause its ass to ass up there sometimes. Another reason why I'm not a "regular" lol.

In general I think braided line is the best line to use in most situations but it damn sure can be a pain in the ass.

I guess it makes me feel slightly better that it's not just us on the Atlantic side. Suck it west coast!

Also, our offshore trip down in st agustine got rescheduled for June 1st. Ambers and grouper and hogs are open at least now. We'll see if we actually make it out this time or if the wind continues to haunt us.

I'm looking to limit us out on Snapper and grouper to take home and a cobia if we get lucky. Mahi if we happen to see any.

Took Tiffany for a couple of hours. Wanted to trout fish, but everything was flooded, or crowded with people. Found a little spot on lake rabun, and I caught this one pickerel. She had something bend her rod double, and set the hook, and was hung up. Definitely a fish, started peck, then bent it, but must've run under something immediately.
