President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

His exact words were that some of them would move out of the country

A million isn't rven a lot of money. You can have $600k in home equity and $400k in 401k while living paycheck to paycheck on blue collar wages, and you're technically a millionaire. That's where I would have started with an answer.

I looked it up and they gey it wrong...the money is for recruitment bonus packages, but IDK if that makes it any better.

Trumps paying tens of millions of dollars for 125,000 federal workers to sit at home and collect a paycheck until Sept 30, AND then let them retire. He's a finance guru!

At some point in time, republicans are going to rue this power grab of trumps. I think it’s bad no matter who you favor.
Trump is doing the EXACT same thing Republicans complained that Clinton/Obama/Biden did. The reality is his overreach is far worse. But the thing is, its their guy, so its ok. I mean FFS he is censoring media he doesn't like. I dont GAF if you dont like PBS, CNN, NBC, or whatever. You get your news from people who sell Miracle Water on late night infomercials? Cool. Its supposed to be a free country. Don't like what someone says? Ignore them. Its literally that easy. Instead Trump tries to remove them from existence. Good leadership takes the high road when its there. Fragile ego, weak character, Trump's a huge mildly retarded p##sy. THAT being said, all of our politicians (both sides) are f###ing weak and pathetic scumbags.

Are you drinking the Marjorie Green fake tan spray tainted Flavor Aid too?

Ending Taxpayer Subsidization Of Biased Media <-all under the guise that "its saving you money!". It aint saving you sh!t. In fact nothing Trump has done is going to put more money in your wallet/pocketbook. You can also toss in the Whitehouse's new Drudge Report mimic website that leads to "trusted news sources" as yet another gimmick/moronic propaganda tool to steer the mindless sheeple. (Watch out for the miracle water and prepper food supply pop up ads on those trusted news sites..) Kicker is I dont GAF about PBS or NPR.

Trumps statements on media outlets in general. I'm pretty sure he called the press "the enemy of the people" during his first term, and countless more moronic comments this year. If you can't look at a news media website and weed out the facts from the BS, you probably need to focus on developing some better cognitive reasoning abilities. Take inventory of how many times he flip flops on Foxnews. One minute he loves them, then they are critical, and they are the enemy. Trumps a buffoon.

Dudes also drafted EO's going after law firms that hurt his feelings. How emotionally fragile and asshurt do you need to be to do that? THAT is part of his overreach. Look at anything Trump does or did, then substitute Obama or Bidens name into that and think about how you'd feel. He hasn't murdered any American citizens without due process like Obama, but he still has time. Remember, gotta outdo Obama and Biden at all costs!

I get being caught up in the November victory. Lots of people live vicariously through politics, sports (here we are!), and other peoples accomplishments in general so for most people its hard to take a step back and come to terms with your own involvement in any sh!tshow. That being said, Kamala would have been no better.

Side note, Trump spends every weekend going golfing, either going to Florida or his course north of Leesburg. Every. Weekend. On the tax payer dime. Now which party used to complain about Obama golfing too much?..
I surmise he does this because there are protests every weekend outside of the White House and dudes too chickensh!t to be around when they happen.

Greeeeeat News! Hope they don't forget our 'slacker' children!

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick says factory gigs are the “great jobs of the future” that Gen Z could work in for the “rest” of their life—and so could their grandkids!

I have several friends that work at the VW plant and plan to for the rest of their lives. What is your point?

All Trump has done is sign an EO taking taxpayer money away from PBS, NPR and I agree with him doing so. Both spew leftwing propaganda.

from GROK:
"Katherine Maher, the CEO of NPR, has faced scrutiny from some Republicans for past social media posts where she expressed strong criticism of Donald Trump, including a 2020 tweet calling him a "deranged, racist sociopath." During a March 2025 congressional hearing, she expressed regret for these tweets, stating they reflected her reaction to specific statements by Trump at the time, not his character, and she would not post such comments today.

Some Republicans, like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, have accused NPR under Maher of biased, left-leaning coverage, fueling calls to defund public media. Meanwhile, Maher has defended NPR’s integrity against a White House executive order seeking to cut federal funding, arguing it threatens First Amendment rights. These tensions highlight polarized views, but Maher’s personal feelings toward Trump are not explicitly detailed beyond her past posts
"

Maher's first amendment rights stops at the taxpayer's nose.

Trump was asked about a millionaire tax and he said it would be too disruptive. That's the reason?

How is it possible that such a smart business man can't come up with a better explanation than that? How is it possible that his explanation is the most hypocritical one he could've possibly come up with?

It's almost like "disruptive" tariff talk seaped into his brain and it's the only thing he could come up with on the spot, because we elected a senile idiot.

It's unfathomable that this is where we are.
"Millionaire" tax? Perhaps the phrase is too vague to answer? Are you taxing people's savings, or is this an existing tax bracket for people who make a million or more in INCOME a year? It would seem that already exists, so I assume it's a wealth/savings tax?

Doesn't seem very libertarian. And I would expect it to become VERY disruptive to start taxing us based on accumulation and savings. That is way beyond income taxes, which are already out of control.

It doesn’t take a PhD in Economics to know that issuing excessive tariffs across your entire trade partner catalog is a pretty damn idiotic thing to do. If you need a graphical example of how idiotic they are go look at the markets from April 2-7 as an indicator. Likewise go look at the soon following days where the idiotic tariffs were immediately rolled back and the corresponding market response.
He used the tariffs to show the world what he was capable/willing to do. It will all depend on the deals that he negotiates,

Understood. I’m hoping he completely forgets about the broad spanning tariffs and never brings them up again. I have no issue with trying to pare back our trade with China.
The issue with the USMCA was the lack of enforcement from the previous administration. If you violated any climate/environment issue you got their full force, everything else was meh.
