When McCoy gets back we at least have 4 starting caliber CB'sDon't want to be the party pooper on the starting spot, but kid has to clean up tackling before he starts imo. Missed 37% of tackle chances. Don't get it wrong tho, he can play. Can leave on an island which makes sense why Banks liked him. First and only start was vs Arizona and did good work vs Tet McMillian (5 catches for 37 yards/INT). Hopefully, he stays in the system for another offseason, because he is definitely starting after this season I would presume if so. With McCoy banged up tho, I imagine they rotate heavily. Will be nice to have another lengthy option you can trust on the outside
They seem to really like Edrees Farooq at safety, but there's still no depth there. At least with experience, when Jourdan Thomas inevitably gets hurt. Kaleb Beasley got work there this spring. The freshmen (Redmond, Lewis) probably could play safety. Obviously Boo could be an option too. Would feel better if we add a vet depth option at every position bc we're lacking and that is especially true at safety after Turrentine was very hit or missWhen McCoy gets back we at least have 4 starting caliber CB's
Still feel like we need a dern safety
Or maybe Boo would slide to safety and one of these corners would slide to star if need be
Turrentine, Farooq, and Beasley give us 3 solid options at Safety. We need 4. Which means Thomas needs to get and stay healthy or we need to get a portal dude. They seem to really like Edrees Farooq at safety, but there's still no depth there. If Thomas can get healthy that could solve some issues there. Otherwise we are in walk on and CB's playing out of position territory. Which could be fine if our DL and LB's take care of business. They seem to really like Edrees Farooq at safety, but there's still no depth there. Good point but i watched UT DBs miss 20 tackles a game every yr up until recently.
