They had their chance. I understand that returning to the team that you played for is compelling, but when they rejected you (the year before you were hired elsewhere), that would seem to change things quite a bit, especially for an intense competitor. I can think of one such person who fits that description.

I’m aware of all that, but mama and daddy could turn into grandma and grandpa.

I don’t think they have the resources there but money isn’t everything.

Maybe their strategy now is to try to be so absolutely hideous and pathetic at baseball so as to provide the ultimate challenge to attract a competitor like CTV

CTV didn’t appreciate the sham interview Missouri gave him. They already had their minds made up but did a half arse interview with him to check a box. He wasn’t pleased….he loves loyalty and so far UT has treated him and his family very well (deservedly so).

I’m simply saying…heart strings. I agree with you. I’m not worried about LSU or Texas. He’s gonna marry a Tennessee girl.

He. Ain’t. Leaving.

The main thing I remember about Starkville from when I went to a football game long ago, other than the Vols losing, was the fact you could not buy cold beer at the store, it was room temp.
You have to twist or roll the can in ice as fast as you can for 2 minutes. Gets it frosty. Learned that on a visit to Ol Miss.

It sucked.
Grab something strong and raise a glass with me. I buried my best ever horse today.
you want something that sucks? Trader Joes beer cold. Only thing worse is Trader Joes beer warm thanks to a dead beer fridge.

Sorry about your horse... how old was (he or she) and what was his/her name?

One of my (in law) relatives have some "Indian Horses" they brought to TN from MT and those fellas were like 35 years old.

I don’t get it, my wife brings home stuff from there, I’ve partaken in about every beer out there, that’s barely drinkable unless yer already there.

Yep... hoping I can choke down the rest of the six before fall camp... unless there is some other use for it. Pretty sure brats would mutiny if I dropped them into that stuff

Jimbo was 29. He retired 9 years ago and had an easy life in a big pasture. He laid down under a big oak tree and went to sleep. Good life and an easy death.
