Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I am actually going through serious pain right now with my sciatica... I can tell/feel it is in one certain area in my lower back, right side. It goes down to the underside of my right butt bone, I can feel it in the middle of my right hamstring, then it goes into the back of my right knee... I feel like I do a ton of stretching, but that just makes it inflamed and more sore... It has got to be nerve because when I stretch it can shoot down my right leg like electricity...
My doctor prescribed a 5mg muscle relaxer (1-2 tablets three times a day) and started on it yesterday, but doesn't seem to be helping... Should I find a chiropractor to see if I can get my lower back adjusted, or just good physical therapy?
Good chiro did wonders for mine. Got the hips, lumbar, neck etc. in alignment. No more back pain and it took away my knee pain in the process. Go monthly now and look forward to the tune ups.

What types of stretches? Instinct is to do something that rounds the back or bends the spine forward. You need to do the opposite and extend the spine backwards if the pain is truly from a disc pushing on the sciatic nerve.

And spend some time on an inversion table.

From my experience (I’m no doctor) those 2 things help a great deal.

Well, a little life altering news from me today. After 12 years at my company I have put in my 2 weeks notice. I I've been dealing with a new GM at work and this guy is something. Continually making life hard for everyone in the company, especially those that are in management, like yours truly. Well, yesterday I had chest pain on left side along with arm pain and numbness. Went to the ER, no heart attack, but most likely stress related. May 9 I will be a free agent. Not sure what the future looks like but it won't be here any longer.
Same boat here. I worked for a Canadian importer who was trying to break into the USA. They said these tariffs aren't worth it, closed up shop today. Hoping to land a new sales gig before/if a recession hits and everyone goes on hiring freeze.

Never devalue a very good to great running back. That any back will do attitude has gotten many teams in trouble. A team with a stable of average backs will get you average results. Too many teams settle for average too much at the position. Just my opinion. GBO
that’s bc good rbs and average rbs are the same player in todays nfl. Elite RBs are different and are valued to a point.

Disagree. A stable of great OL will get you great running results. Henry is an exception that he can substantially outperform his OL. If you believe in your OL, any decent rb will suffice.

All that. Keep back flat, put one leg on door frame, isolating back of the leg. Dig heel in and feel nerve and muscle stretch.

Lay stationary on back, hump toward the sky (dont tell anyone else).

Get an ab wheel, and roll your back out.

Learn to the the cat knead yoga stretches.

I’m just saying there are difference makers out there. All running backs need good blocking. Good blocking helps any and all backs. But I want the fastest strongest and a back with good vision that I can find. I am just saying especially in college where 3-4 years is probably the duration of most players, that if you can get a special running back it can make a difference. Bama and Georgia seem to get there share. Chubb and Sony Micheal were a great tandem, doesn’t even mean they have to be elite. But I am not settling for average at any position if I don’t have too. GBO

I'd like to have one of those 2000ish firebirds with the huge hood.

I wanted one of these so bad. I drove a 68 firebird in highschool. I graduated in 01 for reference. But this model firebird with the ram air hood was fire.

As far as my '68, I got some money and started fixing it up...then got married with kids and ran out of money...sold it to my parents to keep it in the family though so hoping it hangs around long enough for me to get back. Ha.

Yeah, Klingler from Texas Tech threw for like 700 yards in a game, I think Mahomes threw for more later, and neither has their number retired. Why doesn't Dillion Gabrielle or Connor Halliday have their numbers retired?
The only qb at Colorado that should have his number retired is Kordell Stewart.

One of the best looking designs ever, imo (68 too). These things are scary stock. Can't imagine what a 500-600hp build would drive like. They say it's pretty easy to get 600hp+ out of those things.
