I'm happy we got Aguilar and that the extortionists are gone, but I wouldn't call any of that situation good news per se. I probably should have said it would be nice to get more good news concerning football.

Thought they've said a 5th year wouldn't apply retroactively? So our seniors this past season wouldn't qualify.

Oh damn...didn't realize he did 2 years at the JuCo level, I actually like him more knowing he's actually a 5th year guy and he's started 4 years already. Good experience and fully developed physically at this point.

Also this makes far more sense as why Heupel snagged him up so fast. Joey is a 1 year dude, ball out go to the draft and don't worry the young QBs on team & in next year's class (well except Jake wanting more $$$....but I get it likely now competing to be starting QB should for sure be making more than 40k)

Agreed, minus nico having more time in the system, aguilar is kinda better short term, because of his experience and leadership qualities, the long term upside for nico was never gonna be a big pay off for us

Basillio mentioned this last week too. He said Merk was making 40k and TN gave him a good faith raise, 100-200k. But he's since hired Becks agent and would be asking for more money. Definitely gonna get worse before it gets better
