The Atlanta Braves

If Chris Low put it out, it's true
Chris is honest in his reporting. But that doesn’t always mean that what he reports is honest. Only as honest as the source.

The fact is, the staff just got tired of dealing with the never ending shake down from Nico’s camp and it reached the point where his talent wasn’t enough to make it “worth it” so to speak.

Honestly not sure. Who knows at this point? Both sides have bent the truth so to speak, especially Nico’s camp.
There's what seems like a pretty big new tidbit in the Low article, which is that Nico skipped a couple of February workouts because of supposed missed NIL payments from Spyre. I'm not naive enough to think that we're as pure as the driven snow, but there is almost no way that could be true.

There have been rumblings that Big Nic was constantly chirping in people's ears about how Nico doesn't have to do that, Nico doesn't have to do that, that's not in the contract, etc., when it blatantly was. It supposedly was difficult at times to pull Nico to contractually-obligated events, skipped some, and Spyre didn't pay him for some stuff because he didn't attend it. Is that true? If so I bet that's what Nico's camp means by "payment issues."

Yup Nico 100% didn’t fulfill all the obligations of his NIL and it caused issues.

@raw dog is any of this true?

It could easily have been someone with Spyre that leaked it. Or it could have been someone in Nico's own camp that leaked it to try and put some public pressure on TN to make a deal. Or hell, it could even have been an opposing coach that leaked it if Nico's camp was indeed reaching out to other programs. It certainly benefits Ohio St/Oregon/UNC etc. to hurt a current top contender and recruiting rival.
