He’s looking for a good NIL deal according to UF folks, he was set to be a starter there but they aren’t paying huge money, so he’s looking for a better deal which if that’s true I wouldn’t think we’ll be a serious player, but I could be wrong.

I assumed he was looking for big cash too but this report made me think twice. He’d be the perfect Barnes player, but hard to see him coming here to me.

I'm telling you right now 100% this is not a bummer to us I said and I watched an Instagram live video of him totally filled with vulgar language in a 2 on 2 game for a big stack of money on the LMU basketball courts. As I said we would not get Freeman and Ament... after seeing that live video from yesterday there's no way I would want him in the first place none of Coach Rick Barnes players has ever went live with super vulgar language talking about they are playing for some large amount of money the type of players he recruits does not go live doing that type of stuff and display that behavior in front of a large amount of fan base... believe me or not but it was a good thing we did not get Freeman because most likely he did not fit our culture at all and the light was going to shine on some Behavior sooner or later

Anyone that is a good fit for Auburn culture wouldn't fit in Rick Barnes era Tennessee culture. I promise.
(I don't count that Justin Powell guy as a good fit for the Auburn culture, btw)

He does have an inch and 4 pounds on KC, if you look at both of their listed college sizes. That’s not much when you’re looking at a lead guard in the NBA that’s around 6 ft tall. They’re both tiny. Tahaad definitely is more athletic and a better scorer off the bounce, but it’s extremely hard to see anyone taking him in the first half of the 1st round when the track record of guys that size succeeding is so rare.

I'm definitely not going to pull a Kentucky fan cope and pretend in retrospect that the guy actually sux or we really didn't want him here anyways now that he has went somewhere else.

It’s crazy how times have changed. If this was pre-NIL, I’d highly doubt Aberdeen transfers, especially being at Florida for 3 years and guaranteed starter minutes after winning a National Championship. I think he benefits more by staying at Florida, but the money talks.

Ament has spent the past year on the elite prep circuit with the guys that will make up the majority of the 2026 NBA draft lottery.

No offense to Freeman but he was putting up 19 and 9 against guys from Carson Newman who will be working 9-5’s soon. There’s no comparison.

Don’t disagree, but I’d say Powell was a good Auburn fit and a bad Tennessee fit. Was apparently always in trouble at Auburn for getting in bar fights lol

I’m sorry you eventually have to pat yourself on the get good players. This Barnes discount stuff isn’t going to work for everybody. We have several spots to fill. Eventually you need to lay up or you are looking at middle of pack SEC roster next season
