The Elite 11 camp has WAY more evaluators in attendance than any other camp. To a man, they were ALL raving about Bray's performance. I understand you like the Grayson kid....I do too....but there is a reason he hasnt been offered, whatever it may be. I trust the coaches and want them BOTH.

Seriously. Justify this.

Bray has 3 D1 offers.
Bray was just called the QB with the most upside in the country by QB coaches and other QBs
Bray was named the 2nd best player in a camp with the 12 best QBs in the country.

Grayson has no offers...from anyone at all.

Dude....I think you are taking this discussion personnal. Are you related to Grayson or something? Are you a professional talent evaluator? I m not trying to mock you.....but when just about every expert at Rivals and Scout is of the opinion that Bray is one of the best prospects in the entire COUNTRY now.....that means something. I am not saying you are right or wrong.....every QB I have seen looks good to me, because you only see their HIGHlites....no LOWlites. Just kinda odd that you seem so personally invested in Grayson being better than Bray.

I do not know who is smarter. I do know Grayson is a smart dude and Bray in his quotes sounds like a douche to me.

I am being harder on Bray because the consensus here is just total fantasy now for most not all of his abilities. I am just trying to balance the conversation. And I don't like the guy from what I read. And lets see we offer and he does not jump to commit and stays committed to SDSU. Dudes he is afraid of the comp and he is a non athlete. No I do not want him it is true. I want Scroggins, Newton, Heaps etc so it is not like I am just about Grayson. I am even open to Baty.

BRAY= Douche I can say it now if he commits I will be quite.

As far as offers, Grayson would have offers if he was open to playing in certain systems he is telling schools no thank you. He is telling school from less competitive conferences no thank you. Grayson wants to come and compete at a top level.

An offer from SDSU and Fresno are not world changing either.

Oh please. You're judging them by a few quotes they give to Rivals? Much less calling a 17 year old kid a douche?

And quit saying he's a non athlete. Jesus Christ he's an all region basketball and baseball player as well. Sorry he doesn't have a 40 inch vertical. Thats just what our QB needs to have, right? Have you even watched his videos? He's moving around well, especially playing against his competition. He was probably playing better players in 8th grade than Grayson will all of next year.

And how do you know what Grayson is telling those schools? Apparently no major schools want him then since he's turning down the smaller schools.

Our coaches offered Bray. I'd say thats a major offer. What does that say about them? Much less when Grayson is in town, Kiffin doesn't even leave his office to talk to him?

I do. I think they have a plan and are doing there best with the given chips. They will make mistakes as any staff does. I do not know the whys but I would guess Bray is an attempt to jump start offensive recruiting. That is just my guess.

I actually didn't call you ignorant in the first post...just for the record. I said your statement was ignorant (and it was)...it was you who then said "who is ignorant now?"

anyhow...its not that I have nothing left to say...just that it is pointless to continue with you...you aren't making any sense. You have seen maybe 30 seconds worth of highlight clips of Grayson and want us to believe you when you tell us that Rivals, Scout, our coaching staff and essentially everyone is wrong.

Let's be honest here...you are enamored with Grayson because of his athleticism...period.

So he is supposed to commit on the spot the second we offer, without knowing our coaches at all or ever seeing facilities or campus? Can you show me what comments he has said in an article for you t odraw the conclusion that he is a "douche"? If you are basing that on his Myspace page.....try to remember he is a 17yr old high school KID, too. To draw conclusions that he doesnt want to compete simply because he didnt jump at an offer from a school he is completely unfamiliar with is really unfair, IMHO. And you are basing his being a "non athlete" on what I can only guess is his 40yd dash time....and that is kinda weak to me. He is very tall and skinny....but has the perfect frame to add weight....just look at his Father. Like I said before, I am not arguing with you.....but you are being pretty unfair in your assesment of this kid.

Grayson = smarter, far superior athlete, more accurate, arm strength is probably equal. Although, I would like to see Grayson and Bray throwing deep routes in the camp to see myself.

People have decided with a S&C Bray will blow up. This is not a sure bet and depends on his dedication and genetics.

However, on VN Bray is the man right now. And honestly if he commits to us I will hold my tongue until we see him in action in 2011. He is a VOL at that point. My opinion right now is he will never see the field here and can only hope he brings recruits if he commits.

Go look in the Bray thread. There are now comparisons to jamarcus russell and Bledsoe. Jerry Rice and so on. It is absurd. Kid has non of the ability these guys had. If he works real hard he can be that guy Todd Boeckman(spelling?) from OSU. And that guy sucked.

As far as going against our coaching staff they did not offer this kid until other options and doors shut. I really don't think Kiffin thinks much of him other then as a tool to recruit.

Time will tell. But, the conversation in the Bray thread is far more out there then anything I have said about Grayson. I have called him a good prospect who may compete by 2011. I have said he is hungry to compete at a higher level. And he is a great athlete. Non of this is really in question. I have not called him the next Jamarcus Russell or Drew Bledsoe.

Why do you argue semantics? If I say what you are saying ignorant I am in fact saying you are ignorant for example. I may not think on every subject you are but on this one you clearly are saying such a thing.

Are you saying he has not been compared to Russell or Bledsoe over there?

What are you basing your judgement of Brays skills on? Film you have watched? I dont mean this as a slight to you....but I think I will err on the side of the experts that said Bray has the most potential of any QB in the country....and ranked him 2nd at a week long camp attended by the likes of Heaps, Sims, Scroggins, Bell etc. it just seems like you are being REALLY harsh on this kid (saying he isnt as smart as Grayson, calling him a douche etc) all because you are so enamored by Grayson. Grayson was voted most accurate at a smaller camp that Bray was at....that is true.....however, Bray was voted most accurate TWICE at the biggest camp of the year, against the best of the best.... said to have the most potential in the country, and overall ranked 2nd among the best in the nation. I respect your opinion, but it seems you arent giving Bray a fair shake because you feel the need to defend Grayson for some reason.

What "score"? Are you basing football smarts on book smarts? If so, what was Brays ACT or whatever compared to Graysons?

Bray got the golden gun though. What the difference is idk. Your boy go the same award at a lesser camp so that kind of throws the whole accuracy thing out the window.

I already said I do not know Bray's scores. Grayson has reported a 30 on ACT that is via maxprep. I said earlier I was wrong to say one is smarter then the other without something to compare. I do see Bray got Golden Gun. Whitmore was most accurate. why do they do two of these what does it mean? Most potential to me is the same as in art class when the teacher always said g-d bless you you are so creative. In translation, I cannot draw at all.

If Bray does not commit here I will love to see how the feeling on this board changes. The reality is they are very close upon analysis. But the consensus here now is he must be awesome cuz he got an offer. Just like when we offered Rettig after USC camp. If we really have a silent or Newton comes this all becomes irrelevant and we look to 2011.

But this offer is more about getting a known QB on board for other recruits then anything else. And it sucks we have gotten to this point. IMHO

I know Garrett personally and have watched him grow up since birth. I just want all of you to know......you would be blessed to have him as a Vol!! Good character, GREAT athlete not only in football but basketball and track as well. His pedigree is second to none. 2 uncles played college football, both all american, his dad was one of the best athletes to ever go through his high school, mom state track athlete too. I talked to him earlier today and he is hoping to be a VOl.
