And this shows how bad the Nico camp screwed us over. UT maintained the high ground, but in doing so is really at a disadvantage for at least the '25 season.I have a hard time believing that an established starter at the P4 level would ever leave their current team and transfer here. I sure hope I’m wrong, but other than money, why would they leave the place where they know the offense and already have the job? Our offense has no proven weapons. Seems like it would be a massive risk for someone to transfer here.
I think its more likely to go that route, than to get someone who hasn't even declared for the portal. The whole "we don't want to look like we are tampering" excuse only worked before the portal opened. Now It's open any realistic option that say we "spoke" to would have declared early then we wait a couple days and sign him. But even then it seems far fetched reality. Just my take i could be wrong.and go 6-6 or 7-5. No way that is what they do.
Oh stop you're just trying to make @BigOrangeTrain implode.
Everyone is tampering. It’s an excuse. NCAA can’t do anything anymore. Go get who you want and don’t let them say no. Need more Doggss on the trailI think its more likely to go that route, than to get someone who hasn't even declared for the portal. FWIW, I see no reason to assume Altmyer is a better prospect than Angeli. Actually kind of relieved it's not Altmyer.Guy who is pretty plugged in on VQ (was spot on with the MM saying and Pendleton transfer) is staying the IL QB has turned us down.
This (to me) seems to keep trending towards us just getting a non proven guy and not a P4 starter
Funny you take this as gospel and then pretend like you have any idea who Heupel is or is not going after in the portal.Of course it is… so when nico abt left in the winter it was because of the wr room, and now qbs are turning us down because of it, yet some will still say they’re happy with the wr room and heup isnt even trying yet to add a wr
Plus it's a 2 way street. If you've so much as played the college football video games you'd know that recruits have the ability to tell you no. you can't just spawn a 5 star receiver out of thin air. if they don't want to come here for money or otherwise, not much Heupel can do lolFunny you take this as gospel and then pretend like you have any idea why Heupel is or is not going after in the portal.
Last year was the highest graded Tennessee high school class in 10 years, and included the #1 OT in the country.I acknowledge what Heupel has done to get Tennessee relevant again, but i do question his recruiting. Seems to miss on alot especially during portal season.
We won’t be. We have contacted absolutely nobody and can prove it. Damn near everyone who you see get these raises has contacted us through their people. They've got to get the rumors under control or we'll be the first school popped for tampering. Besides, I don't think there's any QB that would make us a 10+ win team this season.
If Nico was a snake for trying to hold out, then it's just as snake-like to try poaching another P4 starter who isn’t IN the portal.
I'm talking about size. Can you see inside his head and read his thoughts?
Almost all the top rated recruits are physically capable of playing.
Where they are at on the football IQ level determines how ready they are and how successful they will be.
Nico wasn’t where the coaches thought he was last year and it showed.
Nobody knows where Faizon , Mac or Merk are or will be except the coaches and they aren’t entirely certain until they put them in SEC play.
You've lost your mind... Baseball team worked their asses off for that National Championship. Plus I thought individuals at TENNESSEE didn't care about that popularity award...Id gladly trade baseball relevance and trade the baseball natty for a heisman winner and/or make the semi finals of the cfp
