'25 QB transfer prospects (Joey Aguilar)

Guy who is pretty plugged in on VQ (was spot on with the MM saying and Pendleton transfer) is staying the IL QB has turned us down.

This (to me) seems to keep trending towards us just getting a non proven guy and not a P4 starter
Hoover and Altmyer were the two guys. Don't know who the non P4 guy is, but Angeli looking pretty good right now.

Apparently Tcu’s qb turned us down and we offered him 1 million more than what tcu was offering him
It's a huge risk for a guy to come here when he's got chemistry/results with his current team. It's going to be a guy with something to prove, which is fine because I'm thinking/hoping the whole team takes on that mentality.

Plus it makes me want to cheer for the young man as he seems to have some integrity and stands by his word. He will do well in life if he maintains those qualities. TCU is also a very wealthy school and will afford him many opportunities upon graduation.

I have a hard time believing that an established starter at the P4 level would ever leave their current team and transfer here. I sure hope I’m wrong, but other than money, why would they leave the place where they know the offense and already have the job? Our offense has no proven weapons. Seems like it would be a massive risk for someone to transfer here.

Having played HS football I couldn’t imagine starting on the team, going through an entire camp with my team, the bond we had… knowing they are depending on me and then leave. That would be tough.

About the WR’s for Hoover
Of course it is… so when nico abt left in the winter it was because of the wr room, and now qbs are turning us down because of it, yet some will still say they’re happy with the wr room and heup isnt even trying yet to add a wr

I think Hubbs had it right on RKW this morning. It is harder to pull a P4 starter at QB than people think, given you have 4 months to learn the offense. Think about it. If you have any shot at the NFL, why gamble that for a few hundred thou or even a million more dollars and risk not getting drafted?

Now, if you are a guy with no projection as a draft pick, make that money now. But is that guy worth paying as much, possibly more, than Nico. I dunno.

However this ends I'm going to give our staff and NIL benefit of the doubt and assume they did their due diligence unless we have actual PROOF they did not.
