I’m beginning to have the same feeling. I wouldn’t mind a backup so long as we get a few more pieces from the portal, which there are several I like currently in it. However, my gut tells me we don’t get those because we spend too much time going after a QB, only to get spurned by their agents angling for more money.

And I too hope I’m wrong.

What's most telling, or bothersome to me is we've known for months about the WR issues. Had weeks to identify DT. same for LB and safety. It feels like when gun went off, we over to the side talking shop.

I said next friday but i’m going to tell you a secret so keep this between us… next friday is the day the portal window closes. so of course I’ll be able to tell you who we got by then! isn’t this brilliant?! everyone will think i’m an insider even though i haven’t told them anything new! None of this is true.

Next Tuesday we will have talked to someone. My bud, Ernst's Pappy Hinkle (His Grandad) is close to Huepel. Pappy done eat at Sam and Andy's and Pappy done heard Huepel talking to a nuther feller. HE sais they's a feller at Delawhur Blew Hens that's faist, n' we fixin' to git eem:IMG_8720.png

Will Campbell
Tyler Warren

Is the pecking order imo. Those all fall through and I see a big attempt to move down. Kelvin Banks may be in play if they can’t find a partner. Prefer Josh Conerly Jr personally, but “value” would require overdrafting him in the 20’s area.

Cowboys looking to move up for Jeanty, stand pat for Omarion Hampton or trade down for best projected IOL possibly Gray Zabel or Tyler Booker with Donovan Jackson a borderline first rounder.

Viewed 3 mock drafts this morning and all 3 had Jeanty to Jets. Also I know the mock drafts are all speculation but out of the 3 I looked at only 1 had Pearce in 1st round and it was the damned Eagles with 31st pick. Craziness..
