To make a long story short, he's an average QB. Problem is that he wanted the pay of a championship QB. He risked it all and now he's gonna take a huge pay cut.

It makes a ton of sense if it is a better QB. No one new how good Nico was better than Heupel. He didn't budge on raising. Him. Kid made 2mil off of us sitting bench and had been shopping his services repeatedly all winter. The relationship went bad. Bottom line.

I don't see it. Bringing in a guy for one year who has to learn the system at the price the previous QB was asking, that's throwing away money. If you meet Nico's price after the season, is the shopping around even done? Now, if they bring in a great QB at that price and he wins us a NC, then I'll gladly eat crow, but I don't see that happening. And if reaching the playoffs is enough, well, Nico just did that. I'm not supporting Nico here, but I'm against stupidity. It would be stupid on our part to pay a QB $4 million when we just refused to pay our QB $4 million. That would mean we created this problem for no reason because we were always willing to pay $4 million.

So they're suggesting we're willing to pay another QB the amount Nico was asking for? That makes no sense. If we were willing to pay $4million, why not just give that to Nico to begin with and avoid all this?

Maybe they plan on finding someone that may be actually worth 4 mil?

I think one thing we learned from Hooker is that you don’t have to have elite arm talent, but make the correct read quickly and be accurate.

Milton and Nico had the first thing, but severely lacked the other two IMO

Heupel can get people open and this team needs a QB who can hit them when they are.
