Not a great idea by Nico and his team. Dude collected $2M to sit the bench year one and played ok but not stellar. If it weren’t for D. Samp and the D it wouldn’t have been great.

Considering how emotionally immature Nico’s dad is, it wouldn’t surprise me if he forwarded info on our offense to our rivals.

Nico has 2 years in this system and couldn’t make basic checks at the line without looking to the sideline. Don’t think this would be an issue lol

According to a lot of the practice reports it sounded like Merk was already making up ground on Nico.

I know someone will pick Nico up, but good luck to the head coach who has to deal with his locker room after this mess. I don’t see how he could be welcomed by the players.

I know this is the new way with NIL and the porthole, but I wish this kid massive failure for how he acted, even though I think his father and agency representation misguided him. My big worry is not replacing him, it is what the fallout will be? Will some WRs and linemen hit the portal too now that Nico is not there?

But luckily the offense cant get any worse from where Nico had it.

It sure can. A 145 QBR tied him with Beck at 7th in the conference out of 16 starters. 64% 19 TDs vs 5 INTs.

Could definitely be a lot worse, ex: the backups last year. Let's hope we break even for this year. I have faith Hype won't let us slip too far. We also won't have Sampson. Questions at WR. Tough boat to row this year iyam.

Thank god we got Banks to balance the beam hopefully. Hype is gonna earn every dime on O.

Yesterday, Andy Staples hinted that a big name QB may enter the portal next week with a “do not contact” tag with his intentions set for UT.

Speculation will begin…

If you actually watch it, he didn’t really hint at anything. He just made a statement that he wouldn’t be shocked if he saw that, but didn’t say one way or the other if he’s heard it. I didn’t take it as him dropping nuggets so much as him just speculating it could happen.
