The kid won us some games..sure but it’s not like he’s put up cam newton numbers at any point in his career here…made him and his family millionaires out of high school (the original deal) but now it’s changed from 1 million to 25 million …like WHAAAAAT?!??? that’s democratic…does someone have a family member of his held hostage or something?..that’s such drastic gap in demands almost not even reality asking someone/a university for that much.

I guarantee you Dad went shopping him around at the end of the season when he saw that we weren't going to fill the WR room back up with elite talent. (bit of egg on Heup and Danny's face here for taking such a big gamble and everyone questioning why we didn't spend the money needed to reload the WR room) Bet this has more to do with it than anything... He got some offers, more than what Nico was getting now, came back wanting TN to counter (win/win situation- he stays and the team struggles with no offense but gets paid more, or he leaves for a fresh chance and gets paid more) and Danny/Heup said they weren't going to counter... Bye.

Polynesian culture is always money driven man. Take a look at a plethora of recruitments. Henry T as an example.

To me the fact AP reported that, Chris Low commented on the history of this situation, along with what hubbs said shows UT’s side is ready to move on. Maybe frustration built up from UT side fed the story to Nakos so “one of our own” didn’t get burnt at the stake for reporting it and get the wheels moving. Shannon also went to bat for Nakos. Where there’s lots of smoke…

See, I really don't think any of our kids leave, as they would be shouldering the same anger from the fanbase, and are seeing what is happening to Nico and his rep right now--- I don't think anyone on our team wants to follow this and do the same thing... Volnation/Fans/Voltwitter would burn them at the steak!

His best option is to stay and develop in the same offense he’s been in to get to the pros. If he goes and struggles in a new offense he’s done. USC might have Riley but they sucked last year and they lost 21 players. Nico is screwing his whole future up right now if he leaves.
