I was mad and got the names wrong but the point still remains.2/3 of the refs are sec refs, because of course
I hate to say it but they have every advantage in the world to be good at any sport they want to be. They also have a recent baseball national championship (and a runner-up). Smack dab in the middle of Florida and also not far from ATL. National brand. Massive in-state population to draw from. Those things aren't quite as important in the portal/NIL era, but Todd Golden just opened the door for them to be a perennial title contender with this win.this is Floridas 5th national championship in football/basketball since Tennessee has won their last. It makes me sick.
Its amazing that with three straight sweet sixteens we havent made a F4. Not dissing RB, just sayin' that's Florida luck.I hate to say it but they have every advantage in the world to be good at any sport they want to be. All of that to say, it's incredible they haven't been able to figure out football in over 15 years with all of those advantages. But even their bum coaches used to win the East. I'm convinced Butch Jones would have made the playoff there.
They said on GMA that they used DNA from a dire wolf fossil and combined with Grey wolf. After reading the article, they aren't “de-extincting” dire wolves. They are genetically modifying grey wolves to phenotypically resemble what they think dire wolves looked like.
This is not a dire wolf. It’s a GMO wolf. Clever marketing I guess
Skenes pitching tonight as well.#5 Tennessee Volunteers host Alabama State st 6:00 p.m. on SEC Network+
Since that's all that's on tonight in College Sports for Vols fans. I'm throwing in the Braves game.

Zach Wheeler vs Chris Sale pitchers Duel tonight...
This is where I’m at on officiating. One team could hack and flagrant foul and if they get lopsided on foul calls the refs feel they need to even it out and then they call anything a foul just to get the fouls even. Here's my problem with how that game was officiated... In the first half, let them play. In the second half they called everything on Florida early...14 minutes left and Houston was already in the bonus.
Then... Like 10 in a row on Houston over the next 8 minutes, none on Florida..
Missed goal tending...I think the officials actually did pretty well on a lot of things. But the change in how many whistles... Doesn't add up imo.
That said, it's not the reason Florida won/Houston lost.
It was just totally different one half to the next.
Credit Florida tho. They got Clayton involved, and made plays. Their bigs passed the ball well, and played much better defense overall later in the game and they stopped turning it over.
In a game like that, when you have to be able to go get a bucket at 'have to time', you find out how good your offense really is. And Houston made a very poor decision on that drive and dribbled it out of bounds, and then double dribbled to end the game basically. Tough, and terrible, ending to what was otherwise a very competitive game. Would have at least liked to see Houston get a shot up on either of those last two possessions.
