Has Pozzato set up visits or named any possible destinations? Tried googling but couldn’t find anything.
I like his film. Would take him at SF. Plus he would have multiple years to play. Lower level but his first college game as a frosh he dropped 28. Very good athlete who goes to the rim. Average shooter but would improve. UT’s strength program would be huge for him.Has Pozzato set up visits or named any possible destinations? Tried googling but couldn’t find anything.
I would love Pozzato over Atwell, if possible.
Pozzato is more of a 3 level scorer while Atwell takes most of his shots behind the arc, but I guess it doesn’t matter too much if you have Gillespie and Rice.
Who knows, Atwell could break Chaz’s record for 3s lol
If we get Rice, I personally don’t see us getting both.I think you'd ideally want both. Atwell is the Chaz piece...a 6'5" SG who can knock it down from deep and isn't shy about taking them. 3 years of experience and the last 2 he's been starting and one of the main scoring threats for a good UNC Greensboro team. I also think him playing beside Langley and then Giles also shows he can be a good 2nd scorer to Ja'Kobi.
Pozzato is more length at 6'7" and just has 24 games of experience shoots lower % though, but took 5.8 3s, 6 2s, and 3.7 FTs...he's as balanced as they come in where scores.
Pozzato resembles what I imagine a freshman version of Dalton Knecht would have looked like. They are VERY similar players. They even look a bit alike.I like his film. Would take him at SF. Bring me another PG, or at worst a CG with very good ball-handling skills. I hate being limited at that position. You're obviously not getting another stud with Gillespie already committed, but someone with experience would be ideal. Henderson is not who I want to count on as a freshman should the worst happen.Should we take an experienced PG as the backup or do we feel ok with Henderson?

Yes. That is the player I was referring to in my post a couple of days ago that is from Arkansas and was set to go there until another school came in with a NIL offer that was a little more than twice their dollars, and which his godfather/dad told me was more than he made in the last 30 years of his work career.Sounds like Wilkerson is expected to commit to Indiana
Remember that we have Cade Phillips to play PF and we are still in the hunt for Ament. So we’re looking at something like
PG: Gillespie / Henderson
SG: Rice / Boswell
SF: Atwell / Evans
PF: Carey / Freeman
C: Okpara / Cade / JP / Brown
And like you said previously, Freeman can play the 3, so if he does end up coming off the bench he could take over for either Atwell or Carey.
Marsh would be a heck of a get for any backup role. I'd imagine he's looking for more opportunity, but I'd take him in an instant.I wonder if we could get someone like Jordan Marsh for cheap. Will be a Jr.
Could backup both Gillespie and I guess whoever is playing the 2.
Rice and Gillespie both averaged 32mpg this past season, so I’d assume it’ll be around the same here.(If we get Rice) He could get around 16+ minutes then transition to a starting role once Gillespie leaves.
Gillespie
Rice
Atwell
Freeman
Okpara
Bench: Marsh, Carey, Cade, JP, Boswell, Evans
Redshirt: Henderson and Brown
@cncchris33 Marsh is our man for the backup ball handler role
