OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

We got taken to the woodshed. Inexperience reared its ugly head. Flush yesterday down the drain like the big 💩 that it was and move onto a good Ole Miss team on the road. Can’t let it snowball. The schedule only gets tougher from here.
Our next game is with Alabama State on Tuesday.

Double headers always scare me and I always fear the worse, especially whenever you lose the first game. These kids get into such a routine and something as simple as the Game 3 pitchers having to pitch a day early can cause issues. A&M was playing with their backs against the wall and took advantage of the situation.

Looks like T A&M became a monster again after those two wins over UT.

Okay. I guess that helps. Who does he compare w/on his playing style? Anyone?
Not sure who I would compare him to but he is 6’4” 200 pounds. Scouts think he is capable of being a consistent 35-homer guy. He may forego the draft and go to play for his uncle at Oklahoma State. But I just realized the Braves have the 22nd pick in this upcoming draft so we wouldn’t have a chance at him anyways. Dean Curley and Gavin Kilen are currently ranked as the 24th and 28th prospects on MLB’s website for this upcoming draft though…

Sports fans are stupid, especially on X . Cooper Flagg had 27/7/4 last night and because he missed a shot to take the lead, he is a choker, lol. What a stupid comment.

The best players in the World have missed game winning shots for Centuries. Jordan, Magic, Bird , Kobe and yes LeBron...
You tell'em boss. 👍

Yeah I’d rather my best player not be afraid to take that shot. He definitely isn’t afraid of the moment. People forget the kid is still a true freshman playing a Houston team that’s basically full grown men. And let’s not focus on that piss poor inbounds towards the end where the Duke player gifted Houston 2 points. Or the other Duke player that missed the front end of the 1-and-1 at the end which allowed the refs to call a bogus over the back on Flagg.
